Just after he exited the tower, William first closed the electric field, making it completely vanish.

Even as he did so, a slight hesitation tugged at his heart, but he pushed it away. The electric field was fine, it was his mistake that caused the problem.

He looked to the other side of the defense wall and could only shake his head.
