"Huh… HOW THE FUCK AM I GONNA IMPROVE THEN?! SURE THIS THING IS OP IN SOULD LAND BUT I HAVE NO SUCH THING HERE THAT COULD PROVIDE ME SPIRIT RINGS!!" Mark blew his top as he thought of the way he wasted the contract due to his stupidity, there were some spirits he knew he could summon but was indecisive because it would be hard for Mark to convince them.
[Host needs to be reminded that since you have now a Martial Spirit mean you could now cultivate.]
"Yeah I could but here's the question, how do I cultivate? I HAVE NO MANUALS HERE, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GATHER SPIRIT QI AND STUFF LIKE THAT!! AND EVEN IF I KNOW HOW TO CULTIVATE I'LL BE STUCK AT RANK 10 UNLESS I GET A SPIRIT RING!! WAAHHH!!!" Mark rolled on the floor like a child having tantrums at the thought of how he should have just went for character from the Fate Series as they were technically were Spirits of Heroes. He was just not sure of whom he could convince easily remembering they all were strong willed individuals.
[Ding!!]
[Mission Issued]
[Host must gain profits from the new prisoners, system would calculate the results based on how much the host would gain. Rewards may vary depending on the amount of profit made by host in various aspects.]
[Time Limit: 2 weeks]
[Rewards: Depends on how much host gained but would focus mostly on manuals and guides for cultivation]
Mark stood up instantly and walked to the exit but paused as a thought came up to his mind. He took out the Summoning Contract and thought for a bit.
"System, the contract doesn't limit what type of being is summoned right? Only the amount of danger they possess if limited only to C-Class?"
[The contract can summon a being that corresponds to their level of dangerousness. But Host can't summon a young version of a dangerous being, you could only summon those that are going to grow to that level of danger.]
"Hmm" Mark was now brainstorming as a realization dawned upon him.
"Though having a stronger Spirit to contract seems much needed right now, they all fall short in potential to a martial spirit like this. Though I have not remembered everything about Soul Land since it's been so long I have read the series it was still shown that being able to cultivate meant I could grow to enormous heights." Mark thought of the fact the MC of Soul Land became a god which meant he could become one too.
Mark sat down as he thought of many things while looking intently at the Summoning scroll. He smiled as he tried remembering the things he knew about Soul Land, even if he got the Rare Variant of Blue Silver Grass Mark felt this was better than anything as it has many chances of growth should Mark really invest in it.
He had been thinking of ways how to become a God so he would have chances of fighting against such monstrous beings when the End Times come. Even if it was too far away he knew it would be something he must face eventually, his current goals are just a path for him to reach there.
He changed his direction and went to the vast plains in a nearby forest in his Backyard, he looked around and saw the large amount of head peeking out the bushes. Mark was troubled as even if he tried to cut down the population of the rabbits they seem to even grow larger in population. They also started to show some sort of mutation where they were becoming bigger and faster.
Mark has a squad of loyal hunters which he did an extra brainwashing because they were the black sheep of the town before. Thus he didn't have much burden in his mind turning them into a squad of hunters as well as assassins for him. They were the ones who also shot the tranq darts to the guards of that noble.
There only was about 20 of them but Mark had trained them with rapt attention compared to those townfolk outside. Mark trained them to become loyal soldiers which were the deadliest of all the people right now in his town. Though it does lessen their potential into assuming a leadership role but he has to sacrifice something to gain another.
But even then they were not enough to hunt the Rabbits which were now in hundreds of thousands here in his backyard. Not sure why they grow very fast but Mark needs to introduce a predator now unless he wants a large island overrun by rabbits.
"I hereby summon a 999 year old pregnant Datura Snake!!" Mark remembered this beast which was the first spirit ring of Tang San. This was the limit he could call because a thousand year old one was a qualitative change that could even endanger a small city. That's how f*cked up the Sol Land World is as the place itself was so vast that it seemed limitless.
A large summoning circle appeared in front of Mark that glowed green as a Large 20 meter long Green serpent crawled out. This large snake also has a large belly which meant what he ordered was indeed heeded by the system. This was what he had deduced from the information in the System, he could call for a specific being with the contract the limit being the danger level of the being.
Thus he could now have a large snake that was about to give birth to many smaller snakes that would then populate the Island. He knew that this being also don't rely on aging for real to become as strong as a 1000 year old one as it was stated in Soul Land that a beast could be younger than a hundred years but still have a ten-thousand year old strength which was about +B-Class level.
Since the system said he could cultivate meant that there was also spiritual qi in the air, other that mana there was now another road where Mark could develop. He had been pondering over the amount of things he could do with the system and he deduced he could do a lot more once other features like the bestiary, chest shop, magical shop and others get unlocked.
Mark looked at the large majestic creature who leveled its eyes to him, he saw intelligence in its eyes as well feel the gentleness it showed to him. Mark reached over his hand to the snout of the large snake and felt the cold hard scales.
"Go, find a burrow to live on. Hatch you children and guard them as well as let them grow. There is plenty of food around." Mark then watched as the snake seem to understand then turn around to crawl into the forest. Mark smiled as he teleported to a small village in the other side of the plains where the beastmen are now situated.
"The Great one has arrived!" Shouted a beastwoman who stopped then put her basket in the ground to bow. It was weird at first for him but he accepted the fact he would be treated as such in the future. He walked to a cabin where he could find a older Gor who walked out to greet him.
"Oh great one what is it do you need of us?" The old Gors bowed in front of him.
"You all seem to be doing well in this place." Mark made small talk.
"We are Great one, the plains are forever lush which makes our herds of cattle and sheep fat as well as healthy. The trees bear fruit every fortnight which gives us abundant harvest to make wine oh great one." The Village head smiled in his own way which was quite scary.
"How about the things I had the two Craft masters teach you?" Mark was referring to the two skeletons who had evolved into sentient beings. They were the most loyal of his minions which Mark valued very much as he too started to teach them various knowledge, if he could make these two into scholars which would do research for him then he would have two immortal scientist working 24/7.
"They have showed us great things Great One, we have seem that there is more to the world to see. Though sometimes our nature hinders us but seeing the various things we could have done made us see that raiding and killing is not the only way to properity." The Gor was happily saying this as Mark only erased their memories of the Ruinous Powers but not their whole memories.
"I see, good to know you have learned the errors of your ways. Just keep an open mind to new things then you'll be surprised at the vastness of the world." Mark did this as an experiment as he never believed that without the chaos these beastmen would not live. Even if they were all mutated because of the Warpstone at first, Mark theorized that Generations passing by has made their species more stable.
He wanted to make a group of beastmen grow without the influence of the Chaos as well as other beings. Though he would have to capture some of those as well, it would be just a matter of time. Having one species rule over this world is not a good idea as life and evolution would always fuck up that endeavor.
If he wanted to play the game of domination in this world then he should have to play by expanding the cards he could use. He wouldn't limit himself with just humans, he thought of having to build a society where there are no signs of racism between the various species.
"By the way there will be a new beast in the forest are, it is a large green snake. Do not bother it for now as well as hunt any snakes for two years in the forest. Inform the Shadow squad of this so they would refrain from hunting them." Mark saw the beastmen nod which made him smile at how obedient they are right now.
"We will follow your will Greatt One." The Old Gor took note of it in his mind as he waved to a younger Ungor to inform the Shadows. Mark saw this as an initial success in integrating the two species together. It would be a hard endeavor but he should at least try, even if he would face the hard headed dwarves and the arrogant Elves(High elves, Wood Elves or Dark elves).
He teleported back in the mansion so he could change to a new attire, before he goes to scare the new guest of his. If he wanted a better awards he must put on a better performance to gain as much he could. The mission sounded vague as always so Mark was deducing as he change clothes.
There was no hurry as he knew that a little drama was needed to successfully make the most of it. He can't act as a savior here as being raised in a criminal family makes his nature a bit scheming. So what does a villain need to become a super one? Presentation!!
