Total War System: Stuck between DC and Marvel

How would a third generation rich kid which was the black sheep of his family react when he discovers that he has been chosen as host of a system but the price is that he is bound to a place where he has limited freedom and could only leave on certain conditions? Freak out of course!!!! “Why!? I was comfortable in my house leeching of my family! Why must I be subjected to this confinement!!” [Host was chosen randomly out of trillions of many possible candidates, so in the words of your fellow humans it is better for you to ‘enjoy’ it if you can’t fight it.] So Mark Johnson was stuck within a weird three story building with a late Victorian design. [Host has discovered ‘The Shop’] [Mission Issued: Where are you?] [-Host must discover where you are and what or which worlds you can access.] Mark then fumbled around and realized that there are two doors that led to two different worlds. Namely DC and Marvel Universes. [Mission completed!] Mark could only say two words when realization dawned upon him. “I’m Fucked!” [Note: Any character in this novel is not mine except for the main protagonist. Also I would change some things about some characters as I am not quite knowledgeable in every canon facts about many of them Also I only write in my free time to release some stress so don't expect consistent uploads of chapters.]

11 Beastmen Raids

Mark went to the closet and saw the clothes inside and it made him think that maybe he should at least buy something more comfortable. He looked at his inventory and saw the amount of gold coins he has now. 375,021 which meant only a few ten thousand has been earned since then. Thankfully Torgu learned how to make food by himself and the golem knight doesn't need anything.

The two skeletons of his though has become something else, it seems two years of constant working made them evolve into something unique. Now the two wear a full Farmer attire with straw hats and sickles by their sides. Mark somehow was able to program their actions into doing stuff that they learned Intermediate Craftsmanship from him.

Their names were now different as they are now called Undead Farmer. Mark realized that training them constantly might make them more aware and sentient, last he checked they acted like cold puppets but now he felt some emotion with them as they worked the fields. Now He has about Dozens of large wooden Barrels full of Beer, wine and other alcoholic drinks.

Maybe he could display some of them in the future once they are aged right, the skeletons also made some various things like rapeseed oil, ink blocks, paper, bamboo baskets, shafts for arrows, spear shafts, incense and many more. They are just stockpiling on warehouses Mark built with Torgu, from time to time he also made the Knight Golem work with the skeletons which also made him change names and evolve.

It also changed looks as it became the Knight Butler, it has become more sleek but somewhat looked more intimidating. It has developed a skill called [Intermediate House Keeping lvl. 9],it has become like this because Mark made it clean after all of his various experiments as well as maintain the Manor.

Mark bought a plain linen shirt, a monk dress shoes, dark slacks, an expensive (1,400 gold coins) Belt with buckle and a few pairs of white gloves. He also worn some of the jewelries he made during some of his free time like some ornate rings with large gemstones including the Ring of fire and a gold chain necklace. If he has to play the part of a noble he should at least look like one. He also put on a blue cape attached to a pair stainless steel pauldrons which he made with great care that it became an uncommon equipment. It gave a +4 leadership, a +10 Defense and a 15% missile resistance.

He went to the Back yard and called for the now very healthy Horse, which Mark realized to be quite large now it has fattened itself up. It was grey haired with feathered hooves which reminded him of a famous draft horse. He went and stood beside it and started measuring the horse by hand as it was quite unusually large. As he was nearing the top he felt incredulous as he measured the horse was about 20 or 21 hands from hoof up to its wither.

He stepped back and looked at the horse more carefully, he then realized that he might have been quite neglectful of the minions he has. But it didn't matter as he now has extra time to think as his preparations were almost done. He still has two years to reach the +C-Class level but he was closer now, the system classified him now as +D-Class as his basic swordsmanship changed to Intermediate Swordsmanship.

He had grinded for days that he didn't even bother buying ready-made food in the shop and opt for some fruits in nearby trees. He incorporated moves he saw in videos of people fighting in documentaries thus made him realize he can earn skills faster that other people due to his system.

Now he was confident enough to make a name for himself outside even if he could only be comparable to a Veteran Soldier. But with equipment he now could go up to –C-Class which made him feel safer.

Another reason for his confidence is because he was able to make a revolver of his own through many trials and failures. System even gave him a mission and received thee D-Class minion summon but he still didn't use it. Last month he finished his prototype revolver inspired by the Colt 45 Anaconda with an 8 inch barrel.

Mark felt safe even if he only made about two hundred bullets as it was quite delicate work in making them, which took him three weeks to make all of the bullets. Now as he finished putting on the saddle and armor he made for the Horse. Mark made sure the reins and stirrups were placed properly.

He made way to another small shed which he discovered was connected to the outside too and worked like the Garage which was convenient to take out some things inside. Now he looked like a rich noble who is ready to parade outside, he also called in the Butler Knight to accompany him. He felt the need to buy horses too and give one to the golem as it would seem awkward for him to walk all the time.

As he was about to go out through the backdoor he remembered something, he instantly took out a sword and a sheath in case some whack jobs can't wait to see hell. He strapped the sword by his waist and willed the horse to move forward. As the large doors open his eyes were greeted by a sight he never expected to see.

He was greeted with mayhem as soldiers run about to fight a warband of Ungors while some that slip go to kill the innocents. Mark was frozen as it took him a few moments to get the gist of what is happening. Being a small town in a dangerous place like Mousillon is not easy, as the populace is prone to Skaven raids, Beastmen attacks and even undead creeping about in the dark.

It's been two years since he came here and thought that maybe they were far from the usual places where raids like these occur. But it seems that it was just a small bout of peace for him, then a sound woke Mark up from his reverie as the Butler Knight slashed down three Ungors who wanted to attack Mark. This caught the attention of a squadron Ungors carrying looted items nearby.

Mark saw that in some of the sacks they were carrying were dead bodies of the peasants in this small town. A feeling of deep anger rose from within his very being that his face contorted similar to those of a demon. But he was awoken immediately as voices were speaking in his mind, Mark sobered up as he remembered what kind of world was this. He took a deep breath and said.

"Stay here and guard the Manor, don't let them damage it in the slightest." Mark made himself calm as an Iceberg as he drew his sword. There was no time to get one of his armors as he didn't put them in his inventory instead in his shop for display. He pulled the reins hard which made the Grey horse neigh loudly announcing its presence to the victims it will have under its hooves.

"GRAAGH!!" The Ungor squad ran to Mark as he galloped towards them with cold indifference on his face. As the first Ungor jumped high to stab his spear towards Mark, he deflected it by swerving the tip with his sword and make it go towards another Ungor who went to the horse side to stab it. With the spear redirected as it impaled the other, Mark thrust his sword towards the throat of the Ungor beastman.

The other Ungors watched as the lightly armored human made short work of their kind in a blink of an eye, they were dazed and forgot to steer clear of the large horse' path. Four were knocked back by the charge and they flew back towards their kind which made them fall apart. Mark rushed forward slashing and stabbing the ones standing while the ones in the mud were trampled by the large hooves of the Horse.

This was seen by many escaping peasants and felt hopeful that the knights were there to save them. So they subconsciously ran towards Mark bringing with them the Ungors that wanted to kill them. In which they saw their fallen comrades crushed under the hooves of a large Grey Horse. They roared in anger as they charge to the human two blocks away.

Mark saw the new arrivals as he slashed the last Ungor, seeing there was almost twenty of these beast running towards him made him feel this was not a simple Beast man attack. But seeing the other peasants gather behind him as they escaped gave him an idea. He got down from his horse and made it go rampage elsewhere. Mark looked at the confused peasants who didn't understand why the Knight went down his horse.

"What are you all tarrying for?! Pick up the spears and blades to defend yourselves!!" Mark shouted in a loud voice as he pointed his open palm towards the coming Beastmen and released a watermelon sized fireball. This made the charging Ungors stop instantly as they screamed.
