No hesitation, no mercy

Three months had passed from since Trethan had accepted Alinas offer. She gathered allies who supported her and became the strongest faction of the royal family. The attempts on her life became bolder and more frequent.

It was easy to see that her siblings were in a state of panic. They were now working together to supress Alina in every way possible while trying to assassinate her at every possible moment. Of course none of the assassins got close to killing Alina as Trethan killed them before they could sense anything.

Alina had the power she needed to claim the throne but she wanted to eliminate the competition. She called to Trethan because he said to ask him when she wanted him to do something other than protecting her. Though Trethan and Alina spent a lot of time together Trethan was still as distant and cold as he was when they first met.

"Trethan, I want you to kill my siblings for me."

"Where are they staying?"

"You're not going to ask me for anything in return?"

"I said all I wanted was to do this. If I say yes then why bother with it? If I want something I'll tell you and I'll refuse when I don't want to do something. So if you know where your siblings are at tell me so I can get the job done. I assume you want them dead as quickly as possible. If you want it done in a specific way just say so."

"They all have mansions in the city. I have a marked them on this map. I don't need them killed in a specific way just make sure they are dead."

Trethan took the map and left quickly. He flew through the city and to the closest of Alina's siblings. He went straight into the mansion and searched the most luxurious rooms until he found the master bedroom. Darren Jarus was having sex with a woman when Trethan arrived. Trethan rushed up and stabbed both of them in the heart killing them silently.

He moved from mansion to mansion killing Alina's siblings. The last one he arrived at was the oldest of the princes, Leon Jarus. Trethan killed him and his wife and was about to leave when a boy walked into the room. When the boy saw the bodies his eyes widened and he opened his mouth to scream but no sound came out. The boy felt a pain in his chest and died a second later with a hole in his chest.

Trethan killed him without mercy and even went back and killed all of the other princes and princesses children making sure that no one was left of the royal family except for the dying king and Alina.

Trethan returned after two hours and told Alina that they were dead. She was the only living family of the current king. Alina Jarus became the heir in one day that was known throughout the kingdom the night of the phantom's rage.

Alina was shocked when she heard that not even the children were spared by Trethan. She didn't ask him why he did that because it was better for her anyway. Alina became the next ruler of the Jarus Kingdom and Trethan became a legend that brought death.
