Jacob feels reminded of Maya

***After a few weeks***

Jacob has been taking his exercises seriously with Darci's assistance. Darci patiently supported him when he tries to walk from his wheelchair and before he'd stumble, she immediately caught him from falling.

Jacob stopped wearing a sling as Darci made him practice using his hand like cutting a large fruit, lifting a box, and holding a jar of water without dropping it or spilling a drop.

He also did a few check-ups at the hospital, about his arm.

***It was quite a breezy fluorescent morning***

Bea and Henry sat at the dining table munching on their breakfasts.

Bea slowly gulped her meal and wiped her lips gently with her napkin. She grinned from ear to ear.

"Jacob seems to be improving greatly. He's not that sad and frustrated boy I knew. He's more happier and energetic each day."

Henry sipped his glass of water and he dropped the tumbler.

"Since he's recovering, I will get rid of the nurse since she's served her purpose."

"Won't Jacob object? He's gotten too attached to her."

"He needs to come back to Golden Builders and resume his work. I want him focused." Henry furrowed his eyebrows.

Jacob and Darci got to the mansion acreage. Flashy leather chairs sat on a slightly elevated floor by the wall. The elevated floor flows down to another slightly elevated floor where a large sofa sat.

The walls were painted with white and black stripes.

Darci and Jacob were at the garden, and they walked from the garden to the acreage. Darci was walking very slowly with Jacob, as Jacob's legs were hurting. Jacob groaned and moaned and paused at some point feeling exhausted. He felt like sitting back in his wheelchair but Darci encouraged him to continue walking till they get to the acreage.

When they reached, Darci excitedly cheered Jacob and said agilely, "you did it!"

Jacob held her hands and looked into her eyes, "no we did it." He fondled her cheeks and he smiled wildly, "I wouldn't get better without you."

He kissed her hand softly and she grinned from ear to ear.

***After two days***

It was a breezy and radiant hot afternoon. Darci stood outside in the garden in Alonzo's mansion folding her arms and staring into space grinning from ear to ear. She was wearing a white silk gown which shook vehemently as the hurricane blew.

Her hair was flying over her face.

Jacob walked towards her staring at her grinning from ear to ear. He stood behind her and he wrapped his hands on her face. Darci got startled and rubbed his hands. His hands felt solid.

She let out a chuckle, "duh! I know it's you."

Jacob giggled. He dropped his hands off her face and walked to her. She turned to him facing him.

Jacob grabbed her waist and pulled her to his arms. Darci got startled and she laid her hands on his shoulders.

Henry was walking in his bedroom wearing a pair of black loose pants and a white top. He walked past the window and he noticed Jacob and Darci in each other's arms. The curtains were parted from the windows so it was so easy to spot them.

Henry was flabbergasted. He muttered, "they are dating?"

Darci leaned her cheek on Jacob's palm and staring into his eyes. He noticed her sinewed gown she had on which indicated her voluptuous waist. Her lips shone painted with colorless lipgloss.

She deliberately wore the dress to look appealing to Jacob and her hair was neatly combed.

Rather feeling impressed, Jacob's eye brows furrowed feeling a tinge of sadness in bones as the dress reminded him of Maya cause he always saw her in short sinewed dresses.

Tears started forming in his eyes, he walked away from Darci trying to fight back the tears. Darci got confused and walked to him.

She stood behind him and laid her hand on his shoulder. "What's wrong? You seem upset."

Jacob sniffed. He turned to her and held her cheeks, "it's nothing. I'm just so excited cause it is your birthday tomorrow."

"Awwn! You remember?" She flashed a broad smile.

Jacob wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer to his arms, their nose was almost touching.

"I cannot forget the birthday of my angel."

Darci giggled and pressed his cheeks, "you're quite funny."

"What if I am? Give me a kiss." He said. She stretched her neck to him and they kissed affectionately.

The air was freezing in Los Angeles. It showered snow, and the wind was quite husky.

Maya Lee stood besides the tall large window in her spacious office sipping a glass of chilled Champagne. She was wearing a pink cocktail gown and a huge white hairy coat. Her lips were painted with crimson lipstick, her jet-black hair flowed over her shoulders.

She heard the door opening and footsteps approaching her and she slowly turned away from the window to see who it was.

It was, Gia Leo her personal assistant. They are quite close.

Maya slowly pulled her flashy spectacles off her face and smiled seeing it's Gia.

"What do you have for me Gia?"

Gia smiled, "Maya, Sunshine Empire is requesting for you to approve the contract with them."

"Tell them I'm rejecting their offer. I wanna work with Golden Builders instead."

Gia frowned, "but Maya, Sunshine Empire has a brilliant design to recommend for your resort project."

"Gia..." Maya wore a firm a look, "don't make me repeat myself."

Gia sighed, and said, "fine, I'll turn down their offer."

She walked out and shut the door.

Maya pulled out a picture of Jacob from the envelope she held. She stared at it and she stroked the picture grinning from ear to ear, "soon Jacob, you will be mine again."

Maya occupies several resorts in Los Angeles and Asia.
