Chapter 32: Too Much Too Soon
"Come in!" Gemma called while keeping her eyes on her computer screen as she heard a knock on the door.
She had taken the day off to get her head straight after Max had shown her the home he'd bought for them. Now she was really behind on work and she was doing her best to reply to all of her emails.
To say that her feelings had been jumbled would be an understatement. Happiness was the main emotion she was feeling though. She felt more hopeful about their relationship and wedding than she had since they'd gotten engaged. What she wanted was to marry Max and he was giving her confidence that they could work it out.
That just left…
"Blaze!" Gemma exclaimed in shock as her eyes drifted from her screen to see who had come in. He was dressed in a floral print button-up with his whole chest bared and his typical black, ripped jeans.
Blaze smiled at Gemma charmingly and walked toward her. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything."
