Zev continued to eavesdrop at Kaiden's phone conversation with Jake. Of course he knew it had to be Jake his friend was talking to and blushing so cheekily like that. It was cute getting to see Kaiden like that, but Zev also felt it cute in an amusing way. It was a rare sight after all.

Throughout the years, Zev had done his bit to figure out what problem Kaiden had with the girls and why he just wouldn't let them too close to him, with exception of Vanessa of course.

Vanessa was an entirely different story but from all Zev knew about their friendship, they came way back and honestly Zev had no reason to fault Kaiden's folks for insisting that some deep romance was brewing between those two.
