Capricious.

After he finished his bath, Jake got out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. 

Since he didn't see his mum anywhere in his ambiance, he quickly assumed that she'd gone up to her bedroom where she would likely take her medicine before dozing off to sleep.

"I miss Jason a lot right now..."

Shortly after, Jake walked towards his wardrobe where he picked out a peach-colored vintage shirt that had a pair of shorts printed to match it. By the time he finished grooming himself, it was barely a few minutes from 10 o'clock. 

Jake combed his hair for the first time since he had returned to Sunderland. He also wore a pair of Adidas socks in his Gucci sandals before picking up his phone and walking out of the room.

He then started to climb down the glass stairs, dutifully.

Jake landed on the final stairs to be accosted by someone he did not expect to see.
