A Friend-Now-Hostage
XueYa ran his fingers over the smooth skin, drawing invisible lines on LiangLin's back. The snake god was snuffling lightly in his sleep, curled into XueYa's side, their feet entangled under the blanket, head resting over XueYa's heart.
A string of drool hung onto the side of his lips, glistening in the faint moonlight as it slowly dripped on XueYa's bare chest before trailing a sticky, hot path down the side of his ribs.
It would be a mess to clean in the morning, but XueYa didn't mind it. He didn't want to wake LiangLin up just yet. They were still hours away from the sunrise, and for as long as he could, he would enjoy the quiet moment they had.
Yet his mind was anything but willing to relax. His fingers crept over the cool skin as he searched for any marks over his lover's visage - nothing. Their mating mark never appeared.
