Trouble Incoming

As Ting Mei reached the party room, she immediately dragged her burning body on a couch.

What just happened? What was I thinking? Am I not crazy enough? I really did it this time! Fortunately, I escaped instantly and weirdly, this stone heart of mine actually got moved again... How many years has it been? Ting Mei laughed.

After going through hell, her heart was deprived of emotions and lacked compassion. Even after the countless confessions, the last hint of love in her spirit already disappeared away along with that bastard.

Luckily, I met Fen Hua and grandpa again during this period or I would have already...Let's not think about it anymore, Ting Mei shook her head.

Even after so many years, I just can't seem to keep my nose out of trouble... Hopefully, it wasn't my first kiss... but it was still my second...Ting Mei blushed and touched her lips lightly with her finger, remembering the faint sensation of the man's lips.

I hope I never meet the lady nor the guy ever again reflected Ting Mei in distressed. However, he did give me a familiar impression...

After dwelling on her thoughts for a while, she heard Fen Hua's name coming out of the gigantic speaker behind her and immediately stood up to approach the stage.

On the stage was standing Fen Hua's slim figure and Jin Liang well-built figure. After Jin Liang shortly introduced Fen Hua, she took the microphone from Jin Liang's hands and stepped forward.

" Ladies and gentlemen, I hope you enjoy this evening party, but let me just say a few words of congratulation for Heng Empire and Heng Huan concerning their excellence."

The audience let out a loud applause.

" As you all know, since 9 years ago, since Heng Huan took over the company, Heng Empire just keep growing and growing at a phenomenal speed. As a proud artist from the Heng Empire, I really wanted to thank and congratulate the company for their accomplishments. That is all, I hope you all enjoy the rest of the party!" said Fen Hua in a composed manner.

Fen Hua walked down the stairs of the scene and marched to Ting Mei's side with a gentle smile.

" You were absolutely wonderful up there!" cheered Ting Mei.

" Thank you! I couldn't find you, where did you go earlier?" asked Fen Hua in curiosity.

" I went to the toilets but encountered a small problem although I eventually fixed it." I think...? Ting Mei said the first part but kept the last words to herself.

" Oh... You'll tell me about it when we get home," responded Fen Hua in a relieved voice.

" Wait...how did you know I lied?" asked Ting Mei in disbelief after hearing her friend's answer.

" How could I not? Do you know how long we've been friends?" chuckled Fen Hua with a smile.

Fen Hua's response softened her stone heart once more.

Afterward, Fen Hua fastly turned her head to the scene and watched a handsome walk on the stage.

" Look! Look! It's the handsome company president of Heng Empire! He always has a poker face so he's not really my type but it might be yours!" grinned Fen Hua to Ting Mei's ear.

Ting Mei also turned her head to look at the man but suddenly got goosebumps.

Oh, oh...it's him... Ting Mei wasn't surprised but instead sighed. This kind of rare unlucky coincidence would only happen to me thought Ting Mei with an exasperated face.

Ting Mei felt ready to scream at God, " Why would you ever do this to me? It's not even once or twice, it's already been a couple hundred times!"

She couldn't stay in front of the stage anymore, in fear that she'll get recognized, so she instantly turned her body, ready to walk away. Unfortunately for her, Fen Hua realized something was wrong and pulled her right back in her initial position.

" What's wrong?" whispered softly Fen Hua in Ting Mei's ear, yet before she could reply, Heng Huan already started his speech.

" Thank you very much Miss Fen Hua." said the grave voice of the man's.
