The Ally

Lila ran as fast as she could, trying to lose Blake and Zane in the crowd. She didn't know where she was going, but she hoped that she could find a safe place to hide or a way to get out of the city.

She turned a corner and saw a subway station. She thought that maybe she could take the train to another location, or at least get away from the street. She ran towards the entrance, hoping that she had enough money to buy a ticket.

She reached the ticket machine and fumbled in her pocket for some change. She found a few coins and inserted them into the slot. She pressed a random button and grabbed the ticket that came out.

She ran towards the turnstile and swiped her ticket. She heard a beep and pushed through the gate. She looked at the sign above the platform and saw that it said "Uptown".

She didn't know what that meant, but she hoped that it was far away from where she was. She saw a train approaching and ran towards it. She jumped inside just as the doors closed.

She looked around and saw that the train was crowded with people. She tried to find a seat, but there were none available. She decided to stand near the door, holding onto a pole.

She looked out the window and saw the city passing by. She felt a mix of fear and awe, as well as a sense of loneliness and isolation.

She wished that she had someone to talk to, someone to trust, someone to help her.

She wished that Zane was still on her side.

She felt tears well up in her eyes, but she blinked them away. She couldn't afford to be weak or emotional. She had to be strong and brave.

She had to survive.

She looked at her reflection in the window and saw a young girl with brown hair and green eyes. She saw a girl who had been living a normal life until a few weeks ago, when she discovered her power of time manipulation.

She saw a girl who had been betrayed by the one person she loved, who had been lied to by the one organization she thought was good.

She saw a girl who had no idea what to do next.

She sighed and looked away from the window. She tried to calm herself and think of a plan.

She knew that Blake and Zane would still be after her, and that they wouldn't stop until they captured her or killed her.

She knew that she had to find a way to stop them, and their evil plan.

She knew that she had to find someone who could help her, someone who knew more about time manipulation and the Temporal Order.

But who?

She racked her brain, trying to remember if there was anyone else who had shown an interest in her or her power.

She remembered that there was one person who had approached her before Blake did, when she first stopped the car accident with her power.

He was a young man with blond hair and blue eyes, wearing a leather jacket and jeans. He had introduced himself as Leo, and he had said that he was "one of them".

He had said that he wanted to talk to her about something important, something that could change her life.

He had given her his phone number and told her to call him if she ever needed anything.

She had never called him, because she had met Zane soon after that, and he had convinced her to follow him instead.

But now, she wondered if Leo could be the one who could help her.

She wondered if he was still waiting for her call.

She wondered if he was still on her side.

She decided to take a chance and call him.

She reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. She hoped that it still had some battery left. She turned it on and saw that it did.

She searched for Leo's number in her contacts list. She found it and pressed the call button.

She waited for him to answer, hoping that he would pick up.

"Hello?" she heard his voice say after a few rings.

"Leo?" she said nervously.

"Lila?" he said in surprise. "Is that you?"

"Yes, it's me," she said quickly. "I need your help."

"What's wrong?" he asked, sounding concerned.

"I can't explain right now," she said urgently. "But I'm in trouble. Big trouble."

"Where are you?" he asked.

"I'm on a train," she said. "Going uptown."

"Which train?" he asked.

"I don't know," she said. "It says 'Uptown' on the sign."

"Okay," he said calmly. "Don't worry, I'll find you."

"How?" she asked.

"I have my ways," he said mysteriously. "Just stay on the train and don't get off. I'll be there soon."

"Okay," she said, feeling a glimmer of hope.

"Trust me, Lila," he said. "I'm on your side."

She hoped that he was telling the truth.

She hoped that he was different from Zane.

She hoped that he was her ally.
