As Atlas gazed out the carriage window, his eyes tracing the passing structures, a sight in the reflection caught his attention, jolting him to his core. Staring back at him was a handsome young man with shimmering silver hair and piercing silver eyes. His flawless skin and noble bearing spoke of high birth.
This was his real face. Atlas's real face.
His mind raced, piecing together the puzzle. Elara had activated the illusion just that morning, and with her current strength, it should have remained active for 72 hours as long as he stayed within a 100 km radius. But now, it had abruptly deactivated.
He considered the possibilities. Elara couldn't have teleported far with Erebos, as Erebos would have alerted him first. Unless... they had been ambushed. But even then, Erebos constantly tracked his energy signature and would have teleported to him before whisking them all away.
