Staring at Ves sitting across from me in the carriage, I flashed him and Crowe a smile. "Are you excited?"
"You seem to be." Cece leaning her head over my shoulder said. She perked her head up and giggled. " You look quite excited. Like a little kid."
"Odd since you hate public places." Crowe joined with a weary groan. He glanced out of the window, lips folded down.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked.
"Unease," Crowe whispered darkly. "I can't explain it. But I could practically smell death." He turned to Cece. " Can you tell me what the steps are? I'm sure you've seen a few."
"Talent, Fate, Prowess and the Ceremony. Usually, kids don't have to participate in the prowess and Ceremony stage. So they tend to be exempted unless the parent says otherwise."
Ceremony?" Crowe instated.
