Chapter 20

Thor discussed other matters to Frigga for a while and left his parents chamber.

Thor strode through the grand halls of the palace, his loyal guards following closely behind, soldiers and maids who worked at the palace bowed to him in recognition.

Thor nodded at them.

he made his way to the edge of Asgard where the Bifrost stood.

Arriving at the Bifrost, Thor turned to Heimdall, the keeper of the bridge, and issued his command. "Heimdall, I require your assistance, Teleport me to Sokovia on Midgard."

Heimdall acknowledging his order responded "As you command, my king," he replied, his tone reverent as he activated the power of the Bifrost.

With a bright flash of light, Thor and his guards were engulfed in the swirling energies of the Bifrost, hurtling through space and time towards their destination on Midgard.

Thor and his guards appeared at Sokovia.

"Prepare yourself and be alert." He ordered.

"We must remain vigilant, don't act in any abnormal way."

"Yes my King." Both of them said in unison.

Thor looked around and saw a tall building with broken glass and damaged architectures.

'Looks like the twins aren't having a good life after their parents died. Hopefully I can use that.' Thor thought to himself.

As Thor and his two guards stood before the towering abandoned building, their eyes scanned the dilapidated structure, searching for any sign of life within. With a silent nod from Thor, they approached the entrance, their footsteps echoing against the worn concrete.

"We must proceed with caution," Thor cautioned.

His guards nodded in agreement, they followed Thor through the entrance and into the dimly lit interior of the building. As they climbed the creaking stairs.

"These Midgardians really don't take care of their new generation do they? Look at these living chambers and see how dirty it is!" Ster said.

They continued their walk through the building.

As they reached the upper floors of the building, Thor's senses tingled with the faint presence of magic, a sign that they were drawing closer to their destination.

"Wait here outside. I will signal you if I need your assistance." Thor said to his guards.

His guards nodded in silent acknowledgment. They waited outside the room while Thor opened the door and entered inside the apartment.

Thor stepped further into the apartment, the stench of decay assaulted his senses.

He cast a glance around the dimly lit space, taking note of the scattered debris and filth that littered the floor.

'Why don't they clean this place once in awhile!' Thor thought to himself.

Thor saw the crackling of the fire in the corner.

Surveying the room, Thor's gaze fell upon the half-eaten food packets strewn haphazardly across the floor.

It was evident that Wanda and Pietro Maximoff had been living in less than ideal conditions, struggling to survive in the harsh environment of Sokovia.

Suddenly, a sound from the other room caught Thor's attention.

'Looks like they are hiding in there....'

Thor walked towards that direction.

As he entered the adjacent room, his eyes fell upon two figures standing huddled in the corner, their faces filled with apprehension and fear. It was Wanda and Pietro Maximoff.

Thor looked at the twins and said "what's up?"

They stood there silently.

"So you live here haa, I have seen far better living space in Midga..... I mean Earth... So how's your day got any plans?"

'God I should have thought about a plan or something' thor thought to himself.

Wanda eyeing Thor cautiously asked "Who are you? Why have you come here?"

'well let's not waste any time, just rip off the band aid' Thor decided.

"I come from another planet Asgard. I'm here with an offer you won't deny,wanna hear it?" Thor said. but the Maximoff twins stayed silent.

Thor continued "I came here because you two have great talent in magic and I would like you to accompany me to Asgard."

Wanda looked at Pietro and said "it's just an idiot high on drugs."

Pietro proceeded to take a wooden bat from the corner and walked towardsThor.

Thor charged a small amount of electricity on his hands and shot it towards Pietro.

Pietro was sent flying backwards and hit the wall.

Wanda seeing Pietro laying on the floor unconscious ran towards him and tried to wake him up.

Thor approached near the twins and checked Pietro for any injuries.

"Don't worry he's fine, just got knocked out." Thor said while laughing.

Wanda turned towards Thor and asked "why did you hurt him? He didn't do anything to you!"

Thor replied " one I was proving a point I have magic so do you and your brother. Two he came to me with a Bat what the hell am I supposed to do"

Wanda just realised what she just saw and took a few steps back "You.... Magic how?"

Thor laughed at her reaction and said "Don't worry you can do the same after I train you, so believe me."

Wanda looked at his twin brother and asked thor " is he really going to be fine?"

" Don't worry he will be up in a minute." Thor said.

"Are you really here to take us from here?" Wanda asked looking at Thor's eyes

He smiled and patted her head and said "Yes, as I said you and your brother have excellent magic potential so I will take you two to Asgard and train you till you reach your maximum potential."

"And what do you expect from us in return?" She asked with a quiet voice but Thor heard her.

"You will help me in protecting Asgard and the nine realms from strong enemies lurking in the dark. And in return you will be rewarded handsomely. You can live in Asgard and have a better life than here." Thor said.

Wanda thought about it for a while "Can we take sometime to consider your offer?"

Thor smiled and replied"Of course take your time and discuss it with your brother just tell my name to the sky and I will be here. Okay."

She nodded her head.

Thor looked to the direction where his guards were standing and gave a signal.

Soon two of his guards came in. Wanda was surprised and took a defensive posture.

"Calm down Wanda they are with me." Thir informed.

He then made an ark on the air and a lot of food items and snacks appeared in front of Wanda.

"Here take it as a gift." He said.

The three of them stood together and thor silently called Heimdall and a beam of light appeared and Thor and his guards disappeared from Sokovia.

Wanda stood there without a movement looking at the parting gift that Thor gave her.
