Chapter 103

I was immersed in the thoughts of my mind ever since Ichika have been texted me yesterday. As I was busy with my thoughts, the roaring voice of my teacher boomed across the gym. It was loud to sober me up from my short daydream. Instantly, I was back on track and keep my mind on focus.

''5-4!'' Our P.E. teacher, Mr Kojima shouted after Akane eliminate the 3 peoples that have left on the opponent team all by himself while our 2 teammates are out. Today, our teacher wanted to try something new like dodge ball since Akane suggested he do so.

Our team was mixed after we didn't have enough student of the same gender to play together. I was paired with Akane and another 2 classmates with is both males while our opponent was Yuuto and Touma who was paired with one girl and a boy classmate which I don't remember their names.

''Nice save, Miyu-san! I never knew that you are good at dodge ball. Everyone, you all have played so well!'' Akane smiled at me before he turns to the others.

''You too, Shimizu-san.'' They replied while nodding their head.

''Huh? All I did was just running for my life, Akane-san. And I feel bad that you have covered the ball for me a few times. I think you praised me too much.'' I blushed after feeling embarrassed to be praised by him.

''Not at all, Miyu-san. You dodge all the attack well and outshined in our team. Don't worry, I will shield you from any upcoming attack.'' Akane smiled.

''Stay focus, Miyu-chan, or else I might throw this to your face if you keep on talking with him!'' Yuuto grabbed the ball as he glared at Akane.

''Tch! Why does that white hair dog always smiling at her like that! I was getting a little pissed off right now...'' Yuuto grits his teeth.

''Are you getting jealous, Yuuto-san? Well, all you need to do is just aim at his leg and try to injure his ankle. That way, I believe he wouldn't pester her anymore. Or maybe I should just aim at his head and kill him on the spot. Hm...how should I increase the force through this squishy ball enough to snap his neck?'' Touma began to murmur to himself as he observed the ball.

''Please be prepare.'' Mr Kojima placed 3 balls on the line between us.

I get on my position with s serious face while Akane seems relaxed. My other 2 classmates were trembling behind Akane as Yuuto and Touma glared at them. I can't blame them for being afraid after getting hits so hard from both of them for the last 9 matches.

Then I notice that Yuuto was peaking at me. I smiled at him but he just turns his head away while pouting. At first, I get a bit confused but later when I make eye contact with Touma, he also turns his head away from me.

''Did I just did something awful towards them?'' I questioned myself after getting speechless by their weird action.

''BEEP!!!'' The sound of the whistle signing that the match has started. I quickly try to grab one of the balls from the line but then my male classmate from the opponent side snatched the ball and hits it on my shoulder so hard that I feel a burning pain on my right shoulder.

''Out!'' Mr Kojima called me out from the match.

''Tch!'' I gritted my teeth in pain.

''Takahashi-san, I-I am sorry to hit you so badly!'' He shutters after seeing me holding on to my shoulder tightly.

''It was okay, don't take it to the heart.'' I smiled at him. He then bowed at me after being apologetic before he went to continue the dodge ball match. Not long after the match continues, Mr Kojima blew his whistle again.

*Baam!*

I was surprised by the loud thundering noise that echoed in the gym.

''Out!'' Mr Kojima shouted after my classmate that hits me with the ball was eliminated by Akane who was smiling with a sadistic look on his face.

''Ara, it was my bad. Please don't take it to your heart. To be honest, I think I have missed a little since you are also doing very good at dodging the ball. Once again, I am sorry for my rudeness.'' Akane apologised.

''Gosh...that guy is crazy...'' He hissed after his neck seems bruised in red while he held on to his aching shoulder. I wonder what does he mean by 'missed a little'.

''Now, shall we get serious, Yuuto-san, Touma-san? I know you have been holding back.'' Akane provoked them.

''Tch!'' Yuuto glared at him while Touma gripped the poor ball in his hand tightly. My female classmate was looking at both of them with her limbs were shivering in fear. Not gonna lie, I kinda feel her too.

''Let the game begin shall we?'' Touma tossed the ball up and catch it in his hand.

Akane smirked at them and answered,

''What are we waiting for, gentlemen? Let's get the party starting.''

As expected, the only one who left is Akane in our team while Yuuto and Touma seem to get worn out. Well, the only girl in their team withdraws herself before they even started because she was afraid that things might get a little dangerous. Can't blame her though.

*Baam!*

Yuuto strikes the ball towards Akane's left side and he manages to dodge the ball. Then, I notice that Akane was chatting with them about something. Suddenly, Touma's expression gets dark and so does Yuuto. Touma gritted his teeth and throw the ball at his left side.

Akane easily dodged that but Yuuto unexpectedly strikes him as he jumped up. Yuuto movement instantly alerted him and he tries to dodge it but it was too late. In the end, he twisted his leg by accident.

"Gosh..." He gritted his teeth.

''Akane-san!'' I quickly get him and carried him by the shoulder.

''Mr Kojima, I will carry Akane to the health room.'' I said.

''Thanks a lot, Takahashi-san.'' Mr Kojima thanked me.

''Yuuto, Touma! Make sure to apologise to him later.'' I turned at them before I dragged Akane on my back.

When I arrived in the health room, Mrs Harada was not in the room. So, I decided to take matters into my own hand. I placed Akane on the bed and searched for the medic kit.

"Let me find the medic kit first, Akane-san. I am sorry because Yuuto was a bit rough just now. Finally, found it." I exclaimed after found the medic kit in the drawer.

''Miyu-san, thanks a lot,'' Akane said softly.

''You can thank me later after I warp your ankle.'' I carefully hold his ankle and place it on a stool.

''Hey.'' He takes my hand and looked at me.

''Little red riding hood, will you stay by my side forever?''
