Letting off some stress.

What is that supposed to mean?!

Am I expected to kill hundreds of kobolts just to reach level 2?

Don't tell me that the experience is reduced because of the trap...

Oh, I can easily check that, cant I?

"Lime, how much experience do kobolts usually give?" If I know that, then I can easily check whether it's just me, or if it really is that hard to level up.

"I do not know, master." Short answer as always huh.

There is another way to check, an even easier one. It just didn't come to mind at first.

"In that case, how much experience does it take to Level Up?" Don't know why that idea didn't come to me earlier, but whatever.

"100 experience to reach Level 2, 200 to reach level 3, 300 to reach level four,400 to--"

"That's enough, thanks." Was she going to give me a full rundown of every level? I guess she really is very straightforward.

Well then, my life is going to be hell for a long, long while...

I killed off the remaining kobolts and picked out their teeth. Lime will be carrying those for me.

~~~
On the way back, I was thinking of a way to quickly get some levels. The same trick won't work twice with the princess, because she already knows not to get close to me, so that's a no. So what other options do I have. Ugh, I'm starting to get really frustrated with the whole situation.
Haha, would you look at that?
It's a horse carriage with some inside, people getting ambushed by thieves.
How unfortunate. For the thieves I mean. Under any normal circumstances, I would have just left the carriage alone, after all, why should I help some random people for free?
But not today. I'm in a terrible mood right now, what better way to make myself feel better than to kick someone's sorry ass?
They haven't spotted us yet, so let's craft some weapons. The kobolt's teeth are hollow on the inside, because I carefully pulled them out, while keeping the nerves and veins intact and still attached to the jawline.
Then I grab a nice and long stick, and with the help of Lime, wedge the tooth onto the end of it. And here we go, a spear.
Of course, those kind of spears wouldn't last long, and they also aren't enough to kill those guys, but if I make a few, I can stick them in-between the steel armor plates, and then grab the next one, and stick that into another joint. Rinse and repeat that process enough times to restrict their movements, and then it's just a matter of slicing their throats with a dagger.
Of course, making a few of those spears takes some time, but I don't really care about the people in the carriage. As long as I make them before they leave, I'd call it a success.
I peek at the guys from behind the dense line of trees, waiting for an opening. Alright, two of them are inside the carriage looting the money and any other valuable. That only leaves a single thief outside. I tell Lime to stay back because I want some real combat experience, but in reality, i just don't want someone to take away my experience and, more importantly, fun.
And, now!
I charge at the unsuspecting thief, and pierce the first spear straight through his right knee.
"Shit!!" He collapsed on one knee and let out a scream.
The other 2 are about to come out, so I have to completely disable this guy first. Lime chucks me the second spear, and right after catching it, I stick it into his left shoulder.
Another spear flies to me, and this time I let it stick into the ground and use it as a support to launch myself into the air, although not to high because my strength is pretty weak.
I stick out one leg and land on the helpless thieves head.
*crack*
That wouldn't have killed him, but he definitely won't be moving anytime soon.
Lime passes me another spear, and I pull the other one out from the ground. Just in time, this guy's comrade came out of the carriage and too swing with that sword of his. My two spears both get cut in half, but they deflected the sword enough for me not to get injured.
"Why the fuck did you do that to Doug?!" He screamed as he took a second swing at me.
He was so mad that he lost control of himself in the battle, becoming a very vulnerable target. I quickly pull out my dagger from the case and bow my head, very easily dodging his sword.
Then it was as simple as pushing the dagger under his arm and into his armpit.
He collapsed in pain, unable to move the right side of his body.
I trampled on his face with my shoe, just for good measure.
Oh no, I made a horrible mistake. I got too sucked into the battle and completely forgot about thief number three.
I saw him aiming at me with his bow. So this is how I die, huh?
A pretty stupid death.
I look up at him with a wicked smile that unconsciously appeared on my face.
His legs started shaking, and he started making a run for it.
Do I really look that scary?
I suppose it's not a bad thing, though.
Another fight, and just as much fun.
In the next chapter, Main Character will realize something.
