Chapter 95 — Paragliding

After coming back from their outing, Li Chuanmo and Pei Yueran spent so much time talking that they ended up sleeping late. As a result, while Li Yuchen and Han Yichen were up and raring to go, Pei Yueran was still in Wonderland.

Li Chuanmo woke up immediately Li Yuchen knocked, but it took him a few moments to respond.

"Dad!" Li Yuchen said impatiently once the door was opened. "Why are you still sleeping? We will be late!"

Han Yichen was more polite, he only said "good morning", but Li Chuanmo could see his barely concealed excitement.

"Give me a few minutes."

"Be fast Dad. Let me go and wake my Goddess."

"Stop." Li Chuanmo said. When both boys looked at him, he cleared his throat. "I'll go instead."

Han Yichen nodded, while Li Yuchen winked at his dad mischievously. "Go quickly, and take your time."

Li Chuanmo ignored him. Her room was just next to his. He knocked twice before trying the door handle. It was unlocked.

Easing the door open, he saw her sleeping on her side, her hair splayed out. She was wearing pajamas, and her top was slightly raised to reveal her fair, thin waist.

Li Chuanmo had to tell himself multiple times to stop looking and focus on her face only.

"Ran, wake up. It's morning."

No response.

He wasn't even surprised. It had happened too many times already. He went closer, touched her face and kissed her forehead. "Ran."

She finally responded.

She opened her eyes to see Li Chuanmo staring "hungrily" at her.

She blinked.

Then she jumped up so fast that Li Chuanmo was startled. "Sorry sorry! Are we late? I can't believe I overslept! Where's my phone?"

"Slow down, it's fine. Good morning."

"Good morning."

Li Chuanmo still wanted to ask her how her night was, but she pushed him to the door, "You're not dressed yet, we will be late. See you!"

Li Chuanmo: "..."

From the doorway, Li Yuchen made a face and laughed at him. "Haha, my Goddess still chased you out eventually!"

Li Chuanmo gave him a look before going back to his room to get ready.

Twenty minutes later, Pei Yueran came out dressed, to meet the three "men" in a row, holding flowers.

Actually, Li Chuanmo wanted to continue his flower tradition even in Country F, so he ordered a bouquet of Irises. The flowers were lush and truly beautiful.

Not to be outdone, Li Yuchen went to the garden and cut some random flowers. He too wanted to surprise his Goddess.

Han Yichen didn't understand the sudden flower craze. He looked at father and son blankly. Li Yuchen decided he was feeling bad for being the odd one out, so he selected two or three flower stems and handed it over to Han Yichen.

Thus the current situation Pei Yueran was looking at.

After getting over her surprise, she smiled and collected their gifts, giving each person a kiss on the cheek —Han Yichen first, who remained expressionless. Then Li Yuchen, who actually blushed adorably.

After collecting the bouquet, she moved to give Li Chuanmo a kiss on the cheek, but he turned at the last moment and the kiss landed on his lips instead. Pei Yueran glared at him embarrassed, while Li Yuchen cheered.

They set out in high spirits. Full of energy, Li Yuchen kept chattering nonstop. Pei Yueran especially liked listening to him talk. He was very animated, and his excitement was infectious. Even Han Yichen perked up a bit.

The first paragliding spot they were going to was over forty kilometers away, near a quaint little village to the south.

Getting to the foot of the mountain, they met their guide. After exchanging pleasantries, they began the hike up to the take off point. The higher they went, the cooler it felt, though the long hike made them winded. The boys were already feeling tired halfway.

When they finally got to the summit though, it was worth it.

Greenery spread out in all directions as far as the eye could see. In the distance, the blue sky was strewn with clouds and looked so close to the ground that it seemed they were touching.

Pei Yueran let out a soft sigh. This was really beautiful.

Soon enough, they had been briefed by their paragliding instructor and were set to fly. The boys were still young beginners, so they each flew with an instructor in a tandem flight.

Since it was her first time paragliding as well, Li Chuanmo flew with Pei Yueran, doubling as her instructor.

They spent some time checking their equipment very carefully. Everything had already been set up before they arrived, so they climbed into their harnesses shortly after, buckled up properly, and were then ready to go.

After one instructor shouted "clear", three paragliders launched off the mountain summit one after the other, disappearing for a moment before slowly rising into the air.

As Pei Yueran had predicted, it was an amazing feeling. At first, the feeling of free falling felt a bit scary, but listening to Li Chuanmo's voice and knowing he was so close by gave her confidence and calm.

As the paraglider moved along, she felt like she was in an open airplane. They were literally flying alongside mist and clouds. Blue skies stretched all around them and into the distance. It was breathtakingly beautiful.

They flew cross country, and Pei Yueran could see green fields that looked massive despite the distance. As they flew, Li Chuanmo pointed out some spots and even told her some stories about them. For example, an old building that was once a famous winery. A huge cathedral with high domes. A bakery that was famous for their delicious pastries.

Pei Yueran drank in the sight. Paragliding gave her a sense of freedom, like she could do whatever she wanted since she was so high up in the sky, free from heavy responsibilities and annoying business partners. She felt uninhibited.

They glided over a mountain range and then a plateau. The wind was not very strong, so they had a very pleasant flight. When they got to the valley, Li Chuanmo even did some acrobatics in the air, twisting and turning the paraglider so quickly that Pei Yueran screamed.

He then made the paraglider spin on one spot, like a helicopter. Pei Yueran was thrilled. It was obvious he was good at this sport.

Finally, he gently controlled the paraglider to land gently at the landing site. The boys had already landed earlier, and were asking their instructors questions excitedly. It had been a wonderful experience for all of them.

They were already looking forward to the next time.

"Chuan, that was amazing. It was way better than I was expecting. Thank you for letting us come."

Li Chuanmo replied while smoothing out her hair that had been messed up by the wind, " It was my pleasure to have you here. I've been paragliding for many years already, but this flight was my best, because you were with me."

Pei Yueran blushed on cue.
