Chapter 5, The Cheap Hitchhike Is A Coach.

The morning streets were bathed in a vibrant display of colorful lighting as the cars whizzed past each other. It was a typical day for the bustling city. Amidst this symphony of lights, a blue car suddenly came to a halt at the side of the rocky road, disrupting the flow of traffic.

A handsome man, impeccably dressed in a formal suit, got out of the vehicle to inspect the issue. This person is Yin Shun. His piercing eyes scanned the surroundings, searching for the cause of this unexpected interruption. The car was charged so it shouldn't be the battery. He approached the front of the car and lifted the hood, revealing the intricate machinery beneath.

After a thorough inspection, Yin Shun realized that the engine had failed him. Frustration crept across his face as he pondered his predicament. Time was of the essence, and he couldn't afford to waste a single moment. He swiftly retrieved his phone from his pocket and dialed the number of the nearest automobile mechanic.

A robotic voice answered the call, "Hello, This is Red light automobile mechanic company. How can I help you?"

"My car just broke down on rocky hill road 202 street. Can I have a mechanic attending to me in the next ten minutes? I am in a rush." Yin Shun explain

"Do you have a subscription with us, sir?" Asked the robotic system

"No?"

"I'm sorry, the company is currently overwhelmed with work and since you're not a primenal customer, we can only send someone to assist you within half an hour."

After the called end, Yin Shun's brow furrowed as he contemplated his predicament. Half an hour is too long. He needed to reach his workplace on time, and waiting was simply not an option. He can't afford to be late today. After overthinking for a few seconds, he decided to take matters into his own hands.

Yin Shun stepped onto the road, extending his arm to halt passing cars in the hope of finding a kind soul willing to offer him a ride. However, one by one, the vehicles zoomed past him, indifferent to his plead for assistance.

Well, he had expected this result. If he saw someone begging at the side of the road for a ride, he even doubted whether he would stop to help.

"I should walk to the train station. There's still time to catch the train. How unlucky I am today." Yin Shun sigh, Just as he was beginning to lose hope, a peculiar sight caught his attention. A young boy, no older than fifteen, whizzed by on an electric bike cycle, humming a ridiculous tone.

Without a second thought, Yin Shun stepped in front of the boy, signaling him to stop. "Stop, can you pull over for a minute?"

Zhu Chuanli was taken aback by Yin Shun's appearance and hesitated for a moment before complying. "What's wrong? This young master don't have the luxury of time to spare."

"Are you going to the East Youth Sports camp?" Yin Shun asked when he saw the familiar T-shirt on Zhu Chuanli.

"That's one reason why I hate wearing uniforms." Zhu Chuanli frowns, feeling displeased. "I am on my way to the youth camp, what do you want?"

"No need to be in an urge, I just happened to be going there as well, but my car broke down." Yin Shun explained his predicament

Zhu Chuanli looked at the car with disgust only commenting one word: "Cheap!"

Yin Shun immediately became excited: "What do you know, kid? This car is my trusted buddy that has carried me around for years."

"Yeah, I can see how trusting it is. You're really brave to bring such an old car on the highway." Zhu Chuanli sneered

Yin Shun felt that he was being mocked by a brat, but he couldn't bring himself to argue with him. Besides, he's the one in need of the other party's help. "Can you drop me off, since we're going to the same location?" his voice was laced with urgency.

"The reason why I'm riding this bike to the camp is because I was annoyed this morning and would not like to be bothered." He paused and looked at Yin Shun up and down before adding; "I can't even carry my own weight, how am I supposed to carry you?"

Yin Shun: "Come on, can't you reconsider? You're the only one that stops after I've been waiting here for like ever."

Zhu Chuanli hesitated before speaking. "You're quite heavy." He admitted, unsure whether his bike could survive the added weight.

Undeterred, Yin Shun's mind raced with a sudden idea. "What if I carry you instead?" he suggested, a glimmer of hope in his eyes.

Zhu Chuanli's face lit up with a mix of surprise and amusement. Besides, he was getting tired after such a long distance. There's still an hour before reaching the camp site. After a moment's consideration, he agreed, "Sure."

Zhu Chuanli got off the bike and waited while Yin Shun locked his car.

Yin Shun: "Speaking of which, aren't there free buses carrying students to camp? Why are you riding a bike for such a long distance?"

"You are too noisy for a Hitchhike." Zhu Chuanli snap

"Kids these days are like old men. Can't even answer a few questions without temper. Hold on tight." With a mischievous grin, Yin Shun hopped onto the back of the electric bike cycle, instructing the Zhu Chuanli to hold on tight.

Confusion flickered across Zhu Chuanli's face, "What do you mean hold on tight...ahhhhhhhh…." before he could question further, Yin Shun accelerated with lightning speed. The sudden burst of velocity startled ZhuChuanli, causing him to cling onto Yin Shun for his dear life, his screams of fright echoing through the air.

As they rode down the rocky path, Yin Shun couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of the situation. "You are a man, yet you scream like a little girl."

"Shut up, you cheap hitchhike!" Although Zhu Chuanli was overwhelmed with fright, that didn't stop him from saving his face as a denify young master.

….

An hour later,

Finally, the bike stopped at the main gate of the East Youth Sports Camp. Yin Shun got off the bike and straightened his clothes. Zhu Chuanli stood for a while to get strength into his legs before following.

"Hey, Hitchhike, what's your name?"

"Yin Shun, what's your name, brat?"

"Don't call me a brat. This young master is called Zhu Chuanli."

Once they reached the gate, they were stopped by the security to show their identification. Zhu Chuanli opened his phone and showed the electronic ID the camp gave him online. While Yin Shun shows the Emile resumes.

The security inspected and nodded his head. "Student Zhu Chuanli, Welcome to the Youthful Age of Youths East Camp. Your peers are gathered outside Tiger building. If you can't find your way, ask the security for directions. As for Mr Yin, you are one of the guest coaches. Please use the other gate to the southeast, I have to trouble you to go that way."

"It's no trouble." Yin Shun said and walked out of the gate.

Zhu Chuanli watches the interaction between Yin Shun and the security with a puzzled expression. After a long while, he murmurs: "So this cheap Hitchhike is a guest coach?"

"What did you say?" The security didn't hear him clearly and asked

"Nothing." Zhu Chuanli shook his head, got on his bike circle and rode to the electric bike parking lot that he spotted at the corner of his eyes.
