Justice League Conference Room

All the present Justice League members could be seen sitting around the U-shaped table, some with pensive stares and some with heavy glares among which Batman stood up and spoke "The clone of Superman Has been contained in the Star Labs for the time being. Green Arrow, I know that you are facing a turmoil but you need to contact Speedy we have been in contact with and bring him to Watchtower by any means necessary."

Sigh, " I have called him already to meet me at the Washington Headquarters, E.T.A. 3 minutes. " Green Arrow said, with a frown on his face he continued "What of the body of Roy we recovered, is that a clone or the original?"

At this Martian Manhunter spoke up "After numerous tests and cross-referencing with the earliest available data of him, I have concluded he is the original Roy Harper" with this Green Arrow's shoulder sagged in relief, with Dinah petting his back.

Manhunter continued "After another set of tests, we have concluded there appears to be no complications with his physical self except for his right arm which had been amputated just below from elbow which I speculate was used as the source of genetic materials the scientist were using for cloning" Green Arrow gritted his teeth at that "but I don't see a lot of brain activity going on up there, which leads me believe he is in a comatose state."

"Try to wake him up" Batman said "And scan his mind-"

"YOU CAN'T D-"

"We need to Oliver!" Batman interjected "We don't know what our enemies have prepared for us and we need a timeline, according to The Green Lanterns and Superman's report there were genetic experiments with Telepathy, Superhuman strength and more down there. We need information."

"But-" "But nothing, We don't know who are behind this, that is why I propose to investigate first rather than act rashly and giving our enemies an advantage"1

"This is Blasphemous!" Wonder Woman loudly interjected "The culprit behind this should be punished for his actions, creating life is the domain of GODS! It is not a frivolous matter. They have perfectly cloned Green Arrow's sidekick and half succeeded in cloning Superman. What guarantee is there that they have not kept a fully cloned Superman in their basement or any of us for that matter? Except for you two Green Lanterns, you are not that special if the rings are taken away. No Offense."

At this moment Green Arrow excused himself.

"HEY!" "None Taken" "What?!"

"And I agree with Batman here Wonder Woman. These people have already illegally cloned one Leaguer and one person associated with the League stating that they have beef with us, but I have to ask Batman why do you think there are multiple enemies?" John Stewart asked

"I had an encounter Deathstroke few weeks back and he dropped a hint."

"And you trust this hint given by Deathstroke of all people?" asked Hawkwoman baffled

"No, I investigated the hint."

"And what conclusion did you reach to?" John asked

"I saw Vandal Savage and Ra's Al Ghul meeting at the League of Shadows headquarters."

This alarmed the Justice League, if History's most notable killer and Shadow's Head are setting up a playdate then it must be bad. At this moment everyone's attention focused on Green Arrow who came in the hall with a smug looking Speedy just behind him.

"Glad to know you lot had not gone senile enough to not see my worth. Oh and it's Red Arrow now." 

Flash snickered at that, Green Arrow sighed and Hawkwoman asked "Can we return him?"

On Batman's nod Green Arrow promptly injected something in Red Arrow's right arm that made him lose consciousness. He was caught by Green Arrow who was looking regretful.

"Martian Manhunter, take him away and scan his mind"

"Batm-"

"And I propose each of us get our mind scanned for any abnormalities, even the sidekicks our associates and closed ones, even-" Batman then grumbled " even me."

This surprised the rest, if even Batman was willing to do it, whose whole schtick revolved around paranoia then who were they to refuse.

After situating Red Arrow shackling him in the medical bay, they once again sat around the table to further discuss the issue.

"What is this [ALPHA] , do we know anything about it?" Captain Marvel asked

"If you would read the file in front of you, you would know that." Batman replied "Aside from few speculations we know virtually nothing about it."

"Do we know how did it access league computer?" John Stewart asked.

Martian Manhunter replied "During the fight with Wotan, after the departure of the sidekicks it appeared in the hall of Washington Headquarters out of thin air without tripping any alarms. I have checked the security footage and it looks like it is being erased in real time." (MISSION IMPOSSIBLE STYLE, just much cleaner)

"Do we have any idea what it took?" "Aside from the data in the Washington Headquarters it seems nothing else was taken and after thorough scanning of all the terminals there were no viruses or other harmful software uploaded"

"Do we have any modicum of idea what it wants? As it seems to think it is doing us a favour."commented Aquaman

"Can we set up a meeting or something, it seemed to convey it is on our side-"

"It is nothing but a stone cold killer! And an threat on level of Deathstroke possibly bigger. " Batman rumbled "Only place it is going is jail."

"Woah! Batman relax a little, it can't be that bad can it?" said Captain Marvel trying to cool down the situation but only made it worse.

Batman glared at him "It came out unscathed in a fight with Deathstroke presumably one on one, that suggests Superhuman Physiology and Martial Arts mastery. Vanished after throwing him in the Mercenary Guild hall and in front of Superman and blinked into existence in Washington Headquarters confirming Teleportation."

Captain Marvel and Flash winced at that.

Batman turned to Zatara "Was any of the light magical in nature?"

"No, I scanned the area again there was nothing magical there"

Batman narrowed his at that and then continued to inform "It also killed 57 people in under 5 minutes in Gotham, all with a precise cuts to the neck, a stab through the heart and some of them had bruises to back of their necks or arms or legs, none of them ever saw him coming that suggests Stealth Mastery and Expert Assassination Training." 

"Jesus! How are we planning to take him on then?" Flash asked as anything that can take on Deathstroke the terminator head on is really dangerous.

"We will meet It."

"And why would it want to meet us?"

Superman said "Well it is at least trying to appear friendly-"

"Unless it is a ruse."

Superman ignored that "It returned Roy, Green Lanterns and I would had completely missed the subsection as it was not registering on my senses and on their rings had we not been looking for where Roy was stored. This at least confirms that it has more information than us and we need the the information don't we Batman?"

"Hn" Batman grumbled "You are not wrong, that doesn't make you right"

Batman then turned to Flash " It has indicated it is in Central City, scour the whole city along with the forest surrounding it and extend the invitation of meeting at the Washington Headquarters"

"Bu-But Batman it's such a large ground to cover"

"No bu-but Batman Flash it is an urgent mission I expect you to finish it with utmost urgency."

He looked at Batman in disbelief, he swore he could see the tiniest little smirk tugging along his lips. He looked around for help but found most of them were amused and some were laughing quietly, Superman was giving him an apologetic smile, Captain Marvel looked like he was one second away from sleeping on the table, he looked towards Hal for some help but that S.O.B. just shrugged, SHRUGGED!

Batman spoke again "Take Captain Marvel with you"

At this Captain Marvel snapped his eyes open and looked around confused before asking "Is it because I slept during the meeting?"

"No "

"Is it because I annoyed you?"

"No comments"

As this was going on in the hall, the sidekicks could seen restless in the corridor.

"What do you think they are discussing ?" Kid Flash asked

"Probably something important we sidekicks are not experienced enough for." Robin grumbled

"Come on Robin I think this matter should be discussed by the League and I think I saw Roy being escorted by Green Arrow earlier" Kaldur responded

"So what? Speedy was our friend! Man I still can't believe the Roy we knew was just a clone" said Robin "they wouldn't even know about all this if we had not infiltrated Cadmus"

At this Kaldur'Ahm and Kid Flash made eye contact with Robin and with each other understanding passing them.

"And just like that we're team again?" Kaldur asked

"I'm in if you two are in." said Kid Flash

And with that the trio barged in the hall to convince the Justice league of a stupid idea with a shitload of false confidence and bravery to match that.
