The World Through Her Eyes

Daimos was on the verge of giving up after losing everything to an enemy of his race. That was when a book fell into his hands and could only be wielded by someone who had a certain percentage of Cthulhu's bloodline. He thought this was his opportunity to take revenge, only to realise that he needed a minds eye to access the book. A minds eye that was severed from him. Now he needs another way to access it, and that way existed in a woman called Likyl. Now Daimos has a chance, but the books keep giving him trials that start to get harder and harder. Would he fold and give up or continue his quest for revenge. ____________________________________________________________________________ I had to pause this novel due to some issues. But you can read my other novel Welcome to the supernatural world; what power would you get?

Awake

Likyl stared at the unfamiliar ceiling and sighed.

She knew she had slready been kidnapped, so screaming or creating a fuss about it was just plain stupid and energy wasting.

"I thought you were not going to wake up. " She heard a voice to her right, the same voice she heard in the parking garage. Looking to her right, there he was, staring back at her with with his strange but mesmerizing eyes. "You took longer than others to fall under the effects of my sleeping pheromone, but slept longer than others." He said, slowly getting up and made his way to her.

Likyl did not show much reaction like he had expected, but he could still see the fear in her eyes.

He looked down on her and he had to admit, she was indeed pretty, but to him, if she were a star spawn, then he would have had his way with her.

Her blonde hair, even though was a bit short, was scattered around her head like sun rays, her slightly tanned skin gave her an exotic appearance, and her big green watery eyes gave men the expression that she would cry at any moment, so they had to find a way to console her.

Daimos after having his eyes fully fed at looking at her body finally looked at her and began speaking.

"This is your current predicament, I am someone you likes to keep things straight, I need your help at this current moment, and you don't have the option to decline. "

Likyl just kept staring at Daimos, and even he himself felt lost since she did not make any sign of acknowledgement.

"Uhh... Is she not awake?" He asked looking behind him.

Due to her condition, Likyl could not see who he was looking at or who he asked the question to, but the voice of a woman was later heard.

"Are you sure she has not gone into shock or something?"

"She is blinking her eyes... so no?"

"Did you check if she is alive?"

"Did you not hear me say she was blinking her eyes?"

...

Likyl did not know if she was supposed to laugh or cry at this moment. This was still not the script she imagined

Where was the torture, the impossible demands, the threats?.

Was she the only one following the script here?

"Umm... I am not in shock?" Likyl finally responded, a bit timidly though.

Daimos and Thusixla stopped their meaningless arguement as Daimos finally faced Likyl with a raised eye brow.

"So why did you not talk before?" Daimos asked with interest in his tone. He was used to people looking at him with either scorn, respect, lust and hatred. Likyl on the other hand, even though looked at him with fear in her eyes, he felt like she was looking at someone that was not following common sense, like as if he was eating noodles with a spoon.

"Uhh, I did not know what to answer you with." She said. "Your race is not the most approachable, even before the war, everyone feared you guys, now is not even better."

"She has a point." There was that female voice again, and since she was able to hear her words, the soundproofing of this wack or the door was opened.

"Hmmm... So that is why you ran, the first time you met me?" Daimos asked.

"Yes, I did not know why, but they said that if I saw a member of your race, even if it was just a glimpse, I was supposed to run for my life... I guess running was futile since I still got caught." She said blushing at the end, this got a raised eye brow from Daimos.

'Is she finally relaxing?' He thought rubbing his chin.

'What is he doing?' Likyl on the other hand was observing every movement of the man infront of her to make sure he did not try anything funny.

"Yeah, you run like girl that has been sheltered all her life! I mean who sees their enemy and still stands there, that is just stupidity. If it were me, I would have jumped on him, I mean only if it was Daimos." Then came in the annoying womans voice again.'What is her problem? must she but in every now and then?' Likyl thought, focusing back on the man infront of her.'Well she did have a point on the jumping part... what am I thinking, now that I realise it, the air in this room smells.'

"Has anyone told you that you think alot?" LIkyl heard the annoying womans voice again, only to realise it was closer than before. She did not know when, but there was now a light ebony brown girl beside the so called Cthulhu prince. The girl was really pretty and tall, and from the equals to sign on her eyes, it was easy for Likyl to guess her race.

'Are the-.'

"There she goes again." Her thought process was destroyed by the annoying woman who could not keep her mouth shut.

"You over think things a lot." The woman said, visibly leaning closer and closer to the man, almost like she was trying to show her something. Though she did not know what she wanted to show. The man on the other hand did not show any form of reaction and seemed to staring at something.

Wait... How did she know something was there, she did not know what it was, but she felt that something was there, or to be more accurate, she saw that the space infront of the man was a bit blurry.

*snap*snap*

Likyl was again brought out of her thoughts by that same woman again, when she snapped her fingers infront of her face. Likyl was really close to strangling her, but could not due to her condition.

"Damn, if you keep doing this, we won't get anywhere in this conversation." The woman said irritated, as she looked at the man who finally stoped sttrocking his chin.

"Will you be able to activate your ability?" He asked, moving closer to her. Likyl also noticed that the blurry space shifted to the side of his face, allowing him to gaze at it from his peripheral vision.

"I can... but..." She did not know how to respond. How could she, her ability basically made her a slut. She was like the queen bee that slept with other bees to sire more larvae.

"Get your mind out of the gutter!" Thusixla almost hit Likyl in the head.'What is wrong with this girl, did she forget that she only needs to have a part of the person she wants to connect with DNA? even keeping a strand of hair in her mouth is enough!'."You only just need a drop of blood, or a strand of hair to connect to him! it's not a must that he kisses you or sleeps with you!" Thusixla was really ready to destroy the hotel they were in if it was to protect her belo-ehem, her master! from this thot!.

"I know that!" Likyl snapped back, trying her hardest to not show her embarrasement. She had been using her ability like that for years, so you can't blame her for thinking that was the only way! And if not for the fact that she was confined on this bed, she would have taught the woman a lesson!... that is after she is about 4km away from her.

What? the Cthulhu race are more scary than you think! It's just this so called prince that was not following the script of how a high Cthulhu descendant should behave!.

"I just didn't know what I would be ingesting!"

"What the!... a drop of blood would be okay!"

"You should have said it first!"

"Says the girl who was blushing like an idiot! what makes you think Dai- I mean Lord Daimos would kiss you?!"

"He wasn't going to kiss me?... I mean I know he wasn't!"

Daimos on the other hand just stared at the two women and tried not to make his prescence known. 'Will they stop soon?'. Daimos thought.

His name might sound intimidating and he looked powerful, but the ways of women was something even his father could not fathom and he had seven wives.

Of course he had siblings. Focus on the 'had'.

'Only I remain'.
