Chapter 11

The untold story ! The chase of the predator!

[Arc - journey to Scarestown]

Some distance far away from Zayn Wolfe place ,

A man wearing long black robe dress appeared across the grass field. He held a long wooden stick in his hand and covered his face with a hood . Beside him a two meter tall Wolfe was sniffing the ground, it sniffed for few seconds and growled lightly at the direction of the north .

The men spoke slowly while bending down to touch the Wolf's head .

"No one can escape without punishment after disturbing my lambs..."

After saying this , he stood up and said coldly

"Go , bring that person head for me !"

As if it understood his words , the wolf howled loudly and began to head in the north direction, where Zayn left earlier. The wolf speed was much faster than the rushing wind , whenever it touched the ground, a shallow deep mark of its legs were printed on the ground.

Seeing the rushing wolf, the creatures who saw it , fell to the ground, shaking in fear . Everywhere it rushed only fear was brewn in every living organisms. As if they are afraid of the wrath from their king .....

Zayn didn't know because of a silly mistake, he just brought a huge trouble on himself.

And this was the least trouble he should be worried for ...

Cause there was something else more dangerous than this , was coming.

Flapping their tiny wings , branding their claws and fangs , bringing death wherever they went .

Inside the village head house ,

Hearing the questions of Zane , The old man was silent for a moment before talking

"There were some people who entered this place like you in mistake...yet none of them survived . That's why I said you are very lucky !"

Zayn frowned hearing his words .

He asked coldly

"They were all killed by the bizzare creatures living here ?"

The old man nodded his head

"You can say like that ."

Zayn Wolfe leaned on the brick wall and asked

"Well then shouldn't you tell me what the hell is this place ?"

Hearing his words , the old man looked at Zayn and said in surprise

"I thought you would ask about the exit route first !"

Zayn Wolfe raised one of his eyebrows lightly and asked calmly

"Why would you think like that ?"

The old man chuckled lightly and said with smile

"Because most of the people would be asking for exit when they encounter stuffs like this , but you ..."

Saying like that , he scanned Zayn up and down , before saying slowly

".....you are different!"

Zayn Wolfe smiled coldly and uttered mockingly

"Enough of rubbish talk ! Tell me What's with these place? Everything here is abnormal and...."

The old man continued Zayn words

"Terrifying right ?"

Zayn became silent , his silence agreed to the old man words .

Laughing lightly, the old man spoke

"I don't know what this place is called.....nor I know why this place exists...I'm stuck in these village for more than twenty years ."

Zayn Wolfe eyes shrank and he asked for confirmation

"You have stuck in these place for twenty years?"

The old man lowered his head and said with bitter tone

"I accidentally entered these place when I was traveling at my prime age and for twenty years I'm hiding, running and laying down to survive in these village ...."

Zayn Wolfe looked at the old man face and asked in puzzling tone

"Why not choose to escape this Nightmare?"

The old man raised his head and uttered in disappointment

"I have tried so many time but believe me there is no exit in these place !"

Hearing this , Zayn face changed but after thinking for a moment, he found many loopholes in the old man story.

How did a old man survive for these long in these terrifying village? Even for him , it's not even a day passed and he was already close to dying two times in a row . So that means this old man isn't a simple, there must be really a exit in these village but this old man must be lying and even after living here for twenty years ...this guys acts like he doesn't know anything at all ....he is very suspicious.

Let's act like i believe him first , I need to know what I'm facing...

[ Note : Zayn automatically assumed that a day has passed since he couldn't pinpoint the exact time and he was right , this place has no time ! ]

Zayn Wolfe was silent for a moment before asking a question

"Do you know what are those creature?"

The old man replied in low voice

"They are the creature from the he-"

Before he could say anything, there was a loud howling sound coming from outside.

Hoooooooooooooooooooowllllllllllll

Hearing this heart shattering sound , both Zayn and the old man face changed.

Zayn face changed was because he felt fear from deep with in his bones . These type of fear he never experienced before .

As for the old man , his face was Dark and he looked at Zayn Wolfe peculiarly.

Seeing his strange look , Zayn asked in pale face

"What's that sound....and why are you looking at me like that ?"

The old man ignored his question and instead asked another question

"By any chance did you meet any flocks of sheeps ?"

Zayn thought about the flock of sheep that almost trampled him to death , he grunted and said in anger

"Yes , what's the howling sound and the flock of sheep has do with it ?"

The old man face was serious, he said in hurried voice

"Don't tell me you did something to them ?"

Zayn was silent for a moment before saying

"All I can say is i didn't harm them ..."

The old man stood up from the chair and walked through the window , he looked through it for few minutes and ssid to Zayn

"We have to leave these place ....more importantly you have to run away , if you want to live now !"

Zayn gripped the blade tightly and it brought a pain to him , but he didn't care about it now. He was more worried about the howling sound now ....

"What do you mean !"

The old man turned around and said coldly

"The sheep herder , he sent the wolf to take your head ....and it's coming for you !"

Hearing the words , Zayn Wolfe face changed . He didn't know who that person is or how terrifying that wolf is ...but he knew it must be very dangerous since he can see even the old man face was filled with fear.

He asked him for confirmation

"Is this wolf coming for me normal or what ?"

The old man snorted and said mockingly

"Do you think anything in these village is weak and normal?"

This answer broke all of his expectations.

He now had two chances ; Either put up a fierce struggle against the wolf of escape from here .

Since he is heavily injured and can't fight , so only running is the best option for him . But what he afraid of was that , the wolf knew he was here by sniffing out his smell so even if he run away, it will cause him to end .

The only option is to run somewhere that the wolf can't reach him and that's the exit for these place . He had a guess that these creature can't leave this place at all , he didn't knew the reason but he was thinking that the wolf couldn't leave the place too if he rush away from this godamm place and for that he has to find the exit .

Thinking about the exit, he grabbed the old man and asked in threatening tone

"How do I escape from these place?"

The old man looked at him for a moment and spoke slowly

"You know there's really no exit in these place at all....."

Sneering coldly, Zayn gripped the old man collar tightly and pressured him to speak truth

"Do you really think I believe those crap? ...tell me honestly or else I'm going to skin you alive !"

The old man face changed and he became silent, when Zayn was almost out of patience, the old man finally spoke

"Even though there is no safe exit ...there is one exit that's can lead you out of the village...but I must warn you that's a dangerous one !"

Zayn Wolfe chuckled coldly and said

"You don't have to worry about me , tell me the exit location.....if it's a lie then I swear I'm going to kill you !"

Hoooooooooooooooooooowllllllllllll!

The howling sound was now very near , near enough that it was just outside of their house.

"Oh s#it ...."

The wolf was two meter tall and it had deep blue eyes, it's fur was grayish and black coated skin colour. The wolf head was much bigger than the adults head and its mouth had long teeth . Its legs were very thick and strong , A claws that could cut steel and stones .

It slowly circled the house and began to smell its prey . Grunting slowly, it was ready to hunt his pray and complete it's master order .

Grrrrrrrrrr

Bearing it's breath , it pounced on the house where it prey resided currently. The house door was immediately destroyed and along with the walls .

The dust covered the area but due to its powerful breath , the dust automatically cleared the Wolf's vision.

That's how powerful was the wolf breath .....
