Summoning

The muffled screams of a child were overshadowed by the gleeful giggles of a psychopath.

The TV was turned on, showing the news of the horrific murders committed by the psychopath but it did nothing to distract the monster in human skin from his current task. To draw a strange pentagram with the blood of his newest victims.

"Fill, fill, fill, fill and fill. That's five times!"

With his strange ritual done, he turned to the bound and gagged little boy.

"Do you believe in demons, Kiddo?"

The child's terrified gaze further fueled the sadistic glee of the monster.

"All the papers and magazines call me a demon, but suppose Demons did exist, Wouldn't that be rude?"

"You've got to be clear about these things"

With a sudden move, the monster jumped near the kid, scaring him to the extreme.

"Yo! I'm Ryunosuke Uryu, and I'm a demon! I don't know if that is the right way to go about it"

The monster shook the ancient book in front of the terrified boy.

"Then, I found this! It's some old book from our storehouse. Looks like my ancestors were researching how to summon demons. So, I've got to find out if there really are demons!"

"But you know, If a demon did appear, It'd be stupid to just chat with it and send it back. So, kid, If a demon does show up. Would you mind letting it kill you?"

At his words, the child started to struggle even more than before, desperate to escape from the hell he found himself in while the monster just laughed. But his laughter was cut short when the monster experience a sudden pain at the back of his hand.

In front of the stunned eyes of the monster, a strange seal had appeared on the back of his hand.

The pentagram that he drew with the blood of its victim lit up with power as electricity surged under the bewildered eyes of the monster and the terrified gaze of the boy.

At this point, in another time, a servant just as vile, if not worse than the monster would have been summoned to this place. But fate had other plans for this particular timeline.

As the light receded, what stood in front of the monster and the child, was a man whose face was covered with a mask that was shaped like a skull. He was wearing dark clothes fit for an English gentleman from the late 1800s century along with a cloak with moving skull patterns that covered the entire body.

"I am servant Caster, are you…."

The servant's voice died down as he observed his surroundings. As he observed the savaged bodies of the two adults, most probably the parents of the bound child, old memories rose to the forefront.

"….Disgusting creature"

"Huh?"

The monster failed to catch the seething rage in those words, but he did not fail to see the servant raise his hand as a weird-looking stick, a spiraling wooden thing that shone with a strange sheen appear.

"Crucio!"

As the word of power rang out in the room, the monster fell to the ground, unable to so much as scream as he experienced agony beyond any words. The servant did not relent for a few minutes until he remembered the child in the room.

But the wizard from another dimension had no mercy to give the monster in human skin.

"You who have revelled in the suffering of others, you shall face justice for this. But, I will not kill you. For I know there is no justice given in the afterlife, only the bliss of oblivion given by returning to the root of all things. No, you shall face justice while you are alive"

"Imperio!"

"You will submit yourself to the police, you will accept all charges and admit to all your crimes even if they are something that no one knows about. If they sentence you to death, you are to escape and hideaway somewhere no one will find you, then, you will inflict on yourself the most painful torture imaginable to your twisted mind without killing yourself. If it is life imprisonment, you will stay in prison and continue to torture yourself regardless. You will make sure to live a long life, filled with pain and torture"

As the orders imprinted themselves into the mind of the monster, his eyes glowed a strange blue light before dulling. Without another word, the monster ran out of the house and headed for the nearest police station to turn himself in.

With the monster dealt with, Caster moved toward the child who started to squirm and try to scream even more.

"Shh, calm down, child. I am no demon. I am a magician, do you want to see?"

"Lumos!"

With the wand's tip illuminating the dark room, Caster removed his mask, revealing the face of an English man with black hair and brown eyes. Watching the glowing stick with awe and fear, the child slowed down his attempts to run, allowing for Caster to reach behind the child and undo the bindings. Giving freedom to the child.

"Child, listen to me. You must leave here immediately. Go to the nearest police station or the house of anyone that you know and trust"

The child that had gone through a traumatic event simply nodded at Caster who revealed a sad smile.

"Do you want to see another magic trick?"

The child just nodded as Caster directed the wand toward the child.

"Watch this. Obliviate"

The child's eyes became glassy as he started to forget the memory of Caster's appearance from the magic circle. Before the boy could come to his senses again, Caster Apparated out of the house in a random direction.

While the memories of Caster were erased from the child's mind, his words were not. Once the child recovered, he immediately dashed out of the house, heading towards the police station.

It was only when the child reached the police station that a slight distortion in the air raced towards a dark alley, revealing itself as Caster.

"With that, one life is saved. Time to save many more from this accursed war"
