Ch 15: Coronation day.

The coronation day finally arrived, as crown prince Maticus couldn't find princess Tata he was left with no other choice than to crown princess Latifa ad the new queen.of Jalin kingdom.

Princess Latifa was all smiles and she paraded herself as queen after her coronation but crown prince Maticus whom became the new king wasn't happy as he had to search for his younger sister, even though he wasn't going to marry her at least to know that she was safe wherever she might be.

He sent out guards to search the neighboring kingdom and not finding her he gave up hope and wished she was fine.

Crown Prince Matthew was crown as new king and he frowned princess Tata, whom was announced as lady Fiona to his people ad the new queen.

Prince Henry Osas stood none smiling as he knew the lady was a witch that had enchanted his brother.

Princess Tata wore a veil covering her head as the royal priest hosted the coronation ceremony done in the meeting hall on the second building. she sat on the Queen's chair beside her husband throne seat and was crowned the new queen of Acan kingdom.

The spokesperson hailed, "Hail Queen Fiona Osas of Acan kingdom!"

"Hail, hail hail!" The people chanted even though they couldn't see her face.

Chief Donald wasn't having any of it as his daughter Benita Donald was so heartbroken knowing Prince Matthew had slept with her, yet he didn't marry her as his queen. She refused to show up at the coronation ceremony done in the field at the Acan palace.

Thinking on what to do, Chief Donald stood up and questioned surprising the crowd that gathered at the royal palace field, and they turned to stare at him, quietly keeping mute.

"Your majesty, Crown King Matthew of Acan, Don't you think it will kind of you to allow our people to know and see the face of our newly crowned queen?" Chief Donald said and the people went in utmost silence and soon murmuring was heard

"SILENCE!" Setus commanded and he stood beside the throne seat.

"Is okay Setus," Newly crowned king Matthew raised his hand and said, "There wouldn't be any need for that. Let it he a new law from today, governing all the lands of Acan, that any new maiden, married or betrothed to any man must always put on a veil to cover up her head, and any one found disobeying this new command would be severely punished!" King Said and the whole people gathered was so shock to receive the news.

"That is the king's decree and all betrothed abd married women must adhere to it," Setus said ad the new law was stamped.

Prince Henry Osas was shocked with how his brother took turn of the new event of things. He just stood staring at his brother and the newly crowned queen.

After the coronation was done in the meeting hall, the ceremony continued outside in the field and the people danced, partied and the already married and betrothed women started buying veils to cover up their head.

Prince Henry was busy with other reports and he was the new chief in commander so he left his brother and went back to his office

After the ceremony ended, King Matthew took Princess Tata Edwards whom is now known to the people as Queen Fiona upstairs.

As they got to the corridor leading to their room, he kissed her on her cheek goodnight and went to his room as he was already drunk, having drank so much at the party.

Queen Fiona thought he would come to her room and sleep with her to consummate their marriage, but he didn't showed up till the day fully break.

The following morning she went about her new duty and that was to be paraded as the newly crowned queen of Acan kingdom fir seven days in their kingdom.

This was also done in Jalin as she has been thought about it.

She dressed up and wore her veil and the people gathered to stair at their new queen, that were able to see her at the coronation ceremony wonder why she was on veil not even her eyes was showing to them.

The veils the other women had bought still showed their eyes or mouth; but hers was fully covered black.

The crown was on top of the black veil covering her head and some if the young women

Princess Tata now Queen Fiona of Acan did her seven days parade with her husband, traveling on horses back through their lands and after the parade ended in a week time. King Matthew resumed his duty as King, joining in the council meeting and not even spending a time with her.

She thought probably he doesn't want to consummate her marriage with her so she thought of a plan to go and see him in his chamber and probably to seduce him

Princess Tata waited for him to return as he also travelled to his maternal home to go and see his grandmother that was sick.

She heard he was her favorite when he was much younger and used to go and visit her when his father was still alive and he wasn't needed in the palace.

After King Matthew returned he still didn't want to sleep with his wife. It had been two weeks since they got married and he knew it.

His brother came to him and spoked about his wife being the missing princess but he didn't want to believe it as there was no proof.

King Matthew went to his chamber to relax and that same night Queen Fiona went to his room to see him as she couldn't understand why he. was abstaining from her after they got married.

She knocked on his door and as usual Simon stood by the door guarding it

She opened the door and went in and Simon didn't stop her either

Coming into his room, she saw him seated on his bed and taking off his robe.

She but on her lower lip as she stepped into his view, although she was covered in veil, she removed her veil as soon as she got into his room.

King Matthew stared at her as she approached him.

"Good evening," she said to him and he nodded, "Welcome" he respond and stood up going to the shelf to keep his file.

"What brings you here?" he asked her as he returned back to his bed and Queen Fiona was mute as she didn't even know how to bring herself to talk to him about them consummating their marriage.

"I wanted us to discuss."

"About?."

Queen Fiona kept mute as she didn't know what to say to him.

He stood up and walked over to the fridge in his room to get a cold drink from it

"Do you care for some." he asked her and she shook her head.

He came back and sat on the bed while she walked closer to meet him.

"Actually, I wanted to ask when will we do it?" Queen Fiona finally gathered courage to ask him and the cup he was holding paused at his lip.

"Do what?" he asked as he stared at her. Looking at her beautiful face and her hands that were fumbling both of her fingers together.
