Ch 11: Jalin Empire

Back in Jalin kingdom, Crown Prince Maticus Edwards wasn't yet aware that his younger sister was missing from the palace. It has been two days and he hadn't seen her, he sent his personal assistant Setus to go call on his sister as she hadn't given him a reply yet on his proposal.

"Setus, Have you seen Tata today?," Prince Maticus Edwards asked as he stared at Setus whom was two years younger than him.

"No my prince, I don't go to the women's quarters?," Setus replied as he stood head bent lowered.

"That's right, but what do you think of my proposal to her?. Do you think she will accept to marry me?." Prince Maticus Edwards asked as he stared intently at Setus.

Setus shook his head in confusion he hasn't dated any woman to now know what's on the young princess whom just came of marriagable age mind.

"I don't really know my prince, but I think she will accept as she knows our custom and tradition to keep the pure blooded powers stronger," Setus replied.

"That's right. I know she wants another man whom isn't related to us by blood but that's an abomination that is punishable by our law. Go to the women's quarters and send a maid to call her to come see me. It already a week since father died and I must be crowned king in a week time as it mustn't surpassed two weeks."

"Okay, My prince." Setus left the prince chamber and went out to call princess Tata, and to inform her that Prince Maticus request to see her.

As he arrived at the women's quarters, he informed a maid he saw to go call on the younger princess, "Tell her that Prince Maticus request to see her now,' Setus told the maid, while waiting for Princess Tata to come out.

He stood waiting, and waiting and waited as the Princess wasn't coming out. He went and knock on their entrance door and two maids came out looking worried.

"Where's she?," Setus asked as he stared at them worriedly thinking something bad had happened.

"We couldn't find her Sir," One of the maid replied and they other was already sobbing knowing they were in trouble as they were Princess Tata personal maids.

"What do you mean by you couldn't find her. Go and check again!," Setus ordered them but they shook their head.

"We haven't seen her in the place since two days now. I don't think she's in this palace," one of the maid whom was in her late 20s replied as she was crying hysterically.

"What! Do you mean the princess is missing and you both kept mute about this since you discovered until now that I came to request for her on the prince's order. Consider yourself dead," Setus told them and walked back.

They rushed to him.and pleaded, "Sir we are innocent, we didn't see the princess or know anything of her disappearance," The two maids cried.

"Guards!,' Setus called and two guards immediately appeared while other maids that weren't Princess Tata personal maids got more worried as the news started to spread round the palace.

"Seize them and throw them into the dungeon the crown prince will hear of these," Setus commanded the guards and immediately left there.

The two guards bundled the two maids that were Princess Tata Edwards personal maids while she was still in the palace. They took the maids to the dungeon and locked them up.

Princess Latifa heard the noise and screaming as she had loud ears, as she was also a pure blooded witch with long ears. She told her personal maid, "Go Flora find out what's happening downstairs as am hearing noises," Princess Latifa said as she continued filing her long nails not interested in what the commotion was all about.

She remembered her brother had proposed to her younger sister despite she already has two sons for him, yet he wanted to humiliate her in front of their people by choosing her younger sister over her.

Princess Latifa Edwards remembered she had warned, pleaded and told Tata not to ever accept his marriage proposal. She even threatened to kill herself as she wouldn't be able to leave with the shame if her younger sister becomes queen while she was alive. She cried and begged Tata, something she had never thought of doing as she hated her younger sister as Princess Tata was more beautiful than her.

Princess Latifa sighed and continue filing her nails, she instructed on her second maid to go check on her two sons as she wanted to be left alone in her chambers in the women's quarters.

"My prince, am sorry to say these but Princess Tata hasn't been seen by her maids since two days now?," Setus finally dropped the bombshell while prince Maticus continue to stare at him like he was saying a ridiculous joke.

Seeing the crown prince kept silent in the disturbing news, Setus raised his head up to meet crown prince Maticus intent gaze on him and he immediately looked you.

"What do you mean Setus?. Where's is Tata?," Prince Maticus questioned.

"She's not in the palace my prince," Setus replied, almost visibly shaking as he knew the royal hooded families had more powers than ordinary humans like him.

"You mean she's missing and you are just informing me about this?. Call the guards. Guards!," Prince Maticus thundered, not being able to digest the fact that his younger sister had disappeared from the palace.

Prince Maticus Edwards walked out from his chambers and came out going downstairs to the hall room as the quarters of the building were still joined together, but were still separated. He came downstairs and went to the hall room which was the receiving room and also their living room and he meet his mother sitted on her Queen's throne as she had a guest with her.

Queen Antonia turned and stared at her son, and he immediately questioned her not minding the guest was an elderly woman whom was his mother's friend.

"Mother, where's is Tata?," Prince Maticus asked as he was almost losing his mind.

"I don't know son. Where's she?," Queen Antonia questioned as she stared at her son.

Seeing the royal family in discussion the guest immediately stood up bowing to her friend and left, leaving Prince Maticus and his mother in the living room.

"Mother, I heard she's missing from this palace, I hope is not true."

Prince Maticus went to the huge blank wall painted in white and he immediately casted a magical spell on it to reveal to him where his sister was as he switched on the radar, trying to track her location.

"Take it easy son. Why would she leave the palace without informing anyone where she was going too?," Queen Antonia questioned, "And where is Princess Latifa?."

"I don't know mother," Prince Maticus replied as he kept his focus on the radar. He tried visualizing where Princess Tata was but all to no avail as nothing showed while the radar refused to show her location.

"NO!,' Prince Maticus screamed and tried again all to no avail.

Queen Antonia walked up to meet him and she tried switching it on with her own magical powers to visualize where her daughter was, but nothing showed.

"Seems Tata has learnt to lock her magical powers," Queen Antonia said.
