"Are you tired?"

Uncle Wang had already take her luggage at the airport and left for the Huo residence. She had wondered why Huo Nanchen had used two cars to pick her up at the airport.

"To the hospital."

Huo Nanchen calmly spat out the three words, causing Gu Ruochu to be stunned. "Why the hospital?"

"Did you forget about the DNA test you took with Zhou Yunxi and Gu Yanwei before you left? Today is the day we get the results."

"The results are out?"

Gu Ruochu had been counting down the days as she waited for the results. She was not surprised, but she felt a little nervous.

She did not know what to think and kept silent the rest of the way.

When they reached the hospital's entrance, Gu Ruochu carried her bag when they exited the vehicle and silently followed Huo Nanchen. He suddenly reached out and put his arm around her. Her hand was pressed against his chest, and she almost lost her balance as she staggered in her high heels.

"What are you doing?"

He ignored her and tightened his embrace on her as they entered the hospital.

Zhou Yunxi and Gu Yanwei had been in the hospital for the past one week. Gu Ruochu did not know what Huo Nanchen had done to prevent Zhang Yuan from rescuing her goddaughter.

Zhang Yuan was no ordinary person.

Zhou Yunxi had been trapped in the hospital for several weeks. She had woken up feeling uneasy that morning, and she was uncomfortable when her ward door was suddenly pushed open.

"Gu Ruochu?"

"The blood test and DNA report are out." Huo Nanchen threw the two reports on the bed. "Take a look for yourself. There's a surprise."

Zhou Yunxi turned her head away and refused to make eye contact with them. "What I'm saying is the truth. You're the one lying to yourself and others."

"What you said a few days ago when I confronted you, was that all fake?" Gu Ruochu's eyes were filled with sarcasm. "You insulted my biological parents. It was clear that you hated them! And you still dare to call yourself my biological mother!"

"I can say whatever I want! There is nothing you can do about it." Zhou Yunxi revealed a smug smile. "I won't read the test results. I really don't want to admit that you're my daughter, it's disgusting!"

Huo Nanchen patted Gu Ruochu's back when he saw that she had been provoked. "Don't be angry. There are some surprises that Madam Zhou hasn't seen yet."
