The Ejo Dynasty Part 4

Ragnarok slams her mace on the ground were Ejo was, and Imperium snaps his fingers to blast Ejo away with a rotation in his stomach. Franchise licks the tips of his fingers on both arms in order to activate his power and begins to slash away.

As if his hands were knifes, Franchise tries to cut away at Ejo but the Anti-Human was quick on his feet, dancing against the Searcher. Juice takes his customized bolt action rifle from his back and loads in one of his flares.

— Satisfied with the view, boss?

— Yeah, I saw all I wanted to see… — Killer says.

Juice takes aim.

“Because if I see more of him…” — She thinks. — “I won’t be able to live…”

And fires.

“Knowing what we removed from the world.”

Dodging, the bullet grazes his thigh and explodes behind him. Franchise slashes, Ragnarok slams and Imperium obliterates. But Ejo was keeping himself safe. Surviving, for now.

— I must say this too then.

Ejo steps violently on the ground, causing a tremor and stones to rupture around him.

— Aiding others is my will. And my will is superior.

With a safe distance acquired, Ejo takes a stance in the middle of the crater he had formed. Legs apart and arms crossed down the centre of his body.

— Method Development!

All of those who were once affected by a VSS manifestation so powerful they took words to be activated, in other words, a Method Development, immediately hated Ejo with every fibber of their bodies. Because compared to past experiences, this could only be a great and disastrous nightmare.

— Shared Feelings!

With a vibrant blue energy flowing from him, Ejo places bindings in the hearts of his enemies. Shared Feelings would link the health and wellbeing of all the targets to Ejo. As if sharing a 0 to 100 meter, the strength of their life forces accounts for percentages that add together to complete 100. And all damage that would dampen their lives, would be spread amongst them.

However, comparing Ejo’s durability to the other six’s was ludicrous. With Ejo accounting for 99.99% of the bar, The Ballada was left with a dismal 0.01%. Meaning that all the damaged caused by anyone towards anyone would be redirect to Ejo. Implying, that the Searchers cannot die, until Ejo dies first. As per his design.

— Now go, Jumbo!

Ejo orders Jumbo, the massive flesh worm with a human face that was wrapped around him, to attack. And judging by the motion of his hands, the target he gave the creature was none other than Killerkill. The snake thing dives into the floor at unsettling speed and emerges by the Captain, wrapping itself around her, like it was with Ejo. Clacking its teeth, Jumbo activates its own power.

— I declare immunity over your pain.

Killerkill seemed unaffected by the worm. It was not hurting her in the slightest. Just being annoying and gross. However, four emerald eyes appear, two under and two over, Ejo’s actual eyes. Now with six eyes, Ejo copies Killerkill’s all seeing vision.

— Now… I have assured that none of you will be harmed in this war. And with the woman’s eyes, I can analyse your weakness and exploit them for my victory.

The Searchers look over to Ejo, who’s appearance changed dramatically, despite the fact that he did not have the worm and only gained two other eyes. Staring at them with fierce glare, Ejo prepares himself.

— It’s your turn, Searchers. Search for an outcome that is superior to my will.

And attacks. Clashing his bare fist against Ragnarok’s mace, causing a loud and turbulent explosion. Franchise comes from the side and tries to cut Ejo’s head off. Imperium snaps his fingers to destroy the man’s foot. But Ejo jumps up and kicks Ragnarok away. Also sending himself away from Franchise’s deadly cut. Imperium and Franchise continue to apply pressure on Ejo.

Killerkill kneels, and Juice takes aim against the snake, point blank.

— Steady now boss. I’ll take this maggot off you!

Killer protects her ears and Juice blasts his rifle. With a flare, specialized in piercing, it goes through everything it’s way. It comes out like a laser, causing a small 900-meter-deep cave, the girth of a pencil, to be formed under them. Except the snake slithered around the captain so incredibly fast it did dodge the bullet.

— Son of a bitch… — Juice clicks his tongue. — Evangelist! It’s on you.

Juice goes back to aid the main fight.

— I’m gonna lose my progress on Ejo! Is that okay, Kiki?!

Evangelist continues to stare at Ejo with her glowing crimson eyes, searching for a Thread good enough to defeat him. With the Anti-Human moving around, it was hard to distinguish the hundreds of millions of useless Threads from that one thing that could change the game. Not to mention, that she would have to go after him to cut it once she found it.

— You think you’re close? — Killer asks.

— Not really no…

— Then get your ass over here!!

Evangelist sighs in frustration and looks over to Jumbo. Now that she did not find a valuable Thread on Ejo, she hoped it be easier to get something on the worm. Killer judged that if Ejo stays with her eyes, then there is no conceivable way the others could finish him off. It would be best to destroy Jumbo.

“Why would he be so worried about our safety — ah that’s right…” — Killerkill thinks while watching Ejo face off against her allies. — “I see what his Development did to us. And if Ejo thinks this will work in his benefit we just have to turn the tables on him…”

— Franchise!! — Killerkill calls out.

Punched in the gut, Franchise is shot out of the battle, but Ragnarok subs in for him and duels with Ejo. The orange-haired man fixies his tiara and notices his Captain waving at him.

— What is it? — He walks her way.

— I have a plan. You listen too, Juice.

Juice fires again, grazing Ejo’s right shoulder. Imperium finally warmed up his fingers and began to snap his fingers with the same speed as he did against Vitrolica. Ragnarok blindly charges against Ejo, increasing the gravity against him with every hit she lands. Trying to increase his weight, the greatest amount she can in those microseconds they are connected. Effectively making him slower and an easier target for the boy.

— Think of your loved ones! — Ejo speaks mid-assault.

“But I must say I’m glad he copied my eyes. If this worm was sent to anyone else…”

— Think of all the pain we can spare them!

— Stop talking!

Imperium was trying his best to not hit Ragnarok but unbeknownst to him, he should have killed her plenty of times. But Ejo’s Shared Feelings transferred all the damaged caused on her towards Ejo. And the pain swelled within him. He was using his own energy to regenerate his innards and stay alive. Once Ragnarok and Imperium realized they were not getting hurt, they didn’t try to dodge the explosions from Juice’s cannon, in order to add more and more pressure on Ejo.

— He’s essentially a huge battery. — Killerkill informs.

— I figured something was wrong. — Franchise says, feeling his prosthetic.

— So, because we can’t be killed, we have to wear him out? — Evangelist asks.

— That makes your plan seem less suicidal. I’m down to try. — Juice fires and reloads. — On your mark Franchise!

— Of course, it’s on my mark… I’m the one putting myself in danger.

Franchise runs back into the battlefield and Juice fires again.

— Anything Evangelist?!

— Any moment now… — She continues searching through the worm’s threads.
