Tutoring Shane In French

Chapter 15

I sighed, looking at my agenda, Science test next Tuesday, Math test on Friday, ELA essay due next Wednesday, and a French test on Tuesday.

Shane popped out of nowhere, "Hey, you take French?"

I almost jumped out of my skin, "Jesus! Don't do that. Yeah, I take French. What about it?"

Shane looked a little embarrassed, "Can you help me study for the test?"

I shrugged, "Sure, after school? At my place, yours, or the library?"

Shane answered, "Your place, thanks, man."

I asked Shane, "Do you want me to ask Avery if Thomas can also give you a ride?"

Shane nodded, "Thanks, man, I'll meet you at the Gym."

I looked at my phone, it was time almost for the 6th period, there were only 2 minutes left, I said bye to Shane and went into the bathroom to change.

I walked out of the bathroom, a guy asked, "Why do you always change in the bathroom? We're all guys here."

I said, "Well, I, uh, I just don't like taking my clothes off in front of people." Why was he talking to me? I don't know him.

The guy raised his eyebrow, he turned and walked away.

Well, that was weird.

Coach Connolly, yelled at everyone to line up and do stretches, then to go down to the track to run the mile.

When we finished stretching, we went to the track. Coach Connolly said, "All right everyone, slow guys in the back and fast people in the front. Get to it!"

I went to the front, right when Coach Connoly called out, "Ready Get Set, Go!" I ran, I have always loved track and field, hurdles, long jumps, triple jumps, everything.

I finished the mile in 6:59 minutes, Coach Connoly announced. I went over to the water fountain to drink take a drink of water.

After school, I was still wondering why a random guy would talk to me. Maybe he wanted to join the Martial Arts Club? I spotted Shane, he waved, I waved back. Meh, whatever, maybe he was just trying to be nice to me.

Shane walked up to me, "Hey, dude. Ready to go?"

I nodded, "Yeah, but we should drop by the club first, to tell William, we won't be there because we need to study."

We walked to the club room, "Hey William, I going to go help Shane study, so can you help anyone who needs help here? Or do you want to come with us?"

William shook his head, "No thanks, I'll stay here."

Mark asked, "Can I come?"

I nodded, "Sure, Mark. Let's go. Bye William."

I called Adam after talking to William, "Hello Avery, what can I do for you?"

I said, "Can you ask Thomas to pick me, Mark, and Shane up from school?"

Adam asked, "Why? Don't you have a club after school? Why Shane?"

I answered, "Shane needs help with his French."

Adam sighed, "Whatever, it doesn't matter to me, I'm going out with my friends, Thomas will be there in 5 minutes, bye."

I nodded, "Thank you, by-"click, and he hung up.

Thomas picked us up a few minutes later.

We got to the apartment 5 minutes later, we walked to the door, I unlocked it, "Want to study on the coffee table or the kitchen table?"

Shane answered, "Coffee table."

Mark shrugged, "Sure."

We set up our materials on the table.

After about 30 minutes of explaining things to Shane, Mark commented, "Dude, relax, you look so tense."

Shane glared, "What do you mean, I'm fine."

I laughed, "Common, your so tense I bet I could beat you in wrestling."

Shane looked down expressionless, I stared at him.

Then suddenly, Shane jumped at me, "You sure about that."

"Ooof." We landed on the ground.

"Let's see if you can get out of this?" Shane looked down at me, "You okay there? You look a little red."

I stuttered out, "W-well, you just jumped on top of me out of nowhere, of course, I'd turn red."

Shane blushed a little, "Dude, don't make it sound weird! I just put you in a hold."

I groaned, "Get off me! You're too heavy! Mark, help. Please."

Mark looked down at us grinning, "Sure, help is on the way! Try defined body pressure."

"Oof," Mark jumped on top of both of us.

Shane grunted out, "Get off me, man."

Mark laughed, "Fine."

We went back to studying after that. We studied for a few more hours before Shane couldn't take it anymore, "Okay, I think I'm done, thank you for helping me."

I smiled, "Alright, I'll ask Thomas to drive you guys home, bye."

When they left it was about, 8:11, I went over to the fridge, there was some pie.

I had dinner and took a shower, by then it was, 8:36, I sighed, where is Adam? I looked at my phone, oh, he sent me a text.

Texting:

Adam: I'll be back in an hour

Me: Ok, night

Not texting:

I yawned, bedtime, I read for an hour before passing out.

And thus, ended my day.
