Finishing The Fight

Chapter 26

Ace swung his fist at me, I ducked, swinging my leg at his chest, he grabbed it, pulling my leg. Crap, he pulled until I was practically doing the splits, I yanked my leg back to me, swinging the other one at his leg again, he took the hit like a champ.

He punched my stomach, oof, that one hurt, I took the opportunity to grab his arm, flipping him over my shoulder. He somehow landed on his feet, what the heck, how?

He grinned, kicking at my legs, I avoided them and punched his gut, he doubled over a little, grunting, I grabbed his arm and hooked my foot to his heel and yanked, he fell with a loud thud.

He grimaced, "I guess I haven't been practicing enough."

I grinned, "I beat all the Darkwaters brothers, except for Adam." I turned toward Adam, "So, how about it? Want to fight?"

Adam shrugged, "Sure."

I could tell he really didn't want to fight with me, so I said, "How about another day? I'm kinda tired from all this fighting."

Adam nodded, smiling, "Okay, sure, another day, " he muttered, "hopefully never."

I went into the changing rooms, sigh, it feels so good to be able to change and shower after practice, without having to wait hours.

I got out and went over to the brothers, they were done before me, "So can we go eat now? I'm hungry." Right then, my stomach rumbled, I grinned, "Yep, my buddy agrees with me."

Adam sighed, "Why couldn't I have been born a girl and you a boy? Then we both would have been happy."

I shrugged, "Gender doesn't really matter to me, I can be both a boy or a girl, well, I could look like a boy."

Ace shrugged, "Let's go to the dining room, lunch is prepared."

After eating I went back to my room and picked up a book, I loved reading because it is like exploring another world and disappearing into it for hours on end without knowing all that time had passed.

Adam knocked on the door, "Avery? Can you help me with something? Please?"

I got up and opened the door, "Sure, what can I help you with?"

Adam sighed, "Sooo, you know how we're leaving on Saturday right? Well, my Mom planned another party, our going away party and I need help preparing for it, I could help you pick out an outfit after I figure out what I'm going to wear."

I shrugged, "Sure, Adam."

We took hours to figure out what Adam was going to wear, but then he chose a pretty light pink dress with ruffles.

He rummaged around in his closet, grabbing a black dress with silver and gold designs all over it, "Put this on."

I shrugged out of my clothes, putting the dress on I looked at my reflection, it was a pretty little number, with a slit on one of the thighs and an inch or two above my knees, I liked it.

I smiled, smoothing my hands down the dress, "I like it, what do you think Adam?''

Adam was busy digging through his shoe collection and grabbing black flats, "Put these shoes on."

I put them on and looked at my reflection again, "I don't see why I couldn't have worn these shoes with the other dress?"

Adam shrugged, "I lied, I just wanted you to wear heels."

I glared, "Why?"

Adam grinned, "Because you look like a girl who has never worn heels before."

I sighed, "Bruh, really? Whatever fine."

Adam grinned, "Alright time for dinner."

After dinner, I crawled back onto the bed grabbing my discarded book, I opened it back up, smiling, and went back inside the world I had discovered.

When I finally finished it I looked at the clock, wow, 12:18 AM already, sigh, I brushed my teeth and climbed into the bed. I closed my eyes and fell asleep slowly.

And thus, ended my day.
