Chapter 5: Another Friend??

Rizu and me were quietly walking down the hall when suddenly someone yelled at us.

"Hey! you two stop!" Is it one of Rizu's admirer's? Damn that's too early. Rizu and Me stopped our walking and turned at the voice behind. We were both surprised to see that it was Dairia. The girl who was the first to answer the teacher.

"Hey sup! What's the matter?" Rizu tried to be friendly to her but it only ended up with her rejecting him in an instant. Now this is a nice tease in another time.

"You two are interesting, now come with me." I raised an eyebrow at her audacity. I didn't linger on her attitude rather I was smirking at whatever reason she has.

"Now who are you to command us!?" Rizu was rather angry at her proposal yet he changed his mind when he heard of her title.

"I'm the daughter of Duke Lucretia. Are you sure it's the right choice to disobey my order?" Rizu held his chin up but after a moment he could only shook his head.

"Now follow me, I need your services and also I like to see how you two could be worth my time." Rizu smiled bitterly and decided to follow Dairia for the meantime.

"You see those 3 buffoons there?" She pointed at three guys snickering at the corner.

"I want you to beat them up." She gestured a thumbs down at them.

"Those three guys? That's EZ!" Rizu without thinking about the implications he would commit if we would get a demerit for this stunt approached the three students, I didn't follow him though only watching out if he somehow couldn't handle this guys so I could spring into action.

The three guys didn't expect to be approach and bamboozled by a stupid young boy who wanted to throw punches at them.

They smirked at Rizu as they dodged his blows yet He was steadily gaining momentum with his punches and before they knew it he already punched their leader at the cheek.

The two was left standing frozen by the spectacle and didn't know how to move, and yet Rizu delivered a punch to their faces too, making both of them stumbling down. Rizu wiped his palms and returned to Dairia.

"You exceeded my expectations now take this and follow me, make sure to distance yourself from me while you follow, okay?" Rizu got a bag of belets and nodded, he followed Dairia to the three kids. I followed behind to see what reason she has to order Rizu to beat them up.

"This is what you get, for speaking rumors of me you three buffoons. I won't tolerate it a second time." Dairia walked on top of them and Rizu followed.

"How childish..." I thought while maintaining a poker face. Rizu came near me and rubbed the bags of belets in front of me. I slapped the back of his head to snap him out of that creepy smile of his. He could smile wryly when he realizes it.

"Rizuko Landerfall?" Dairia asked as she turned around.

"Yeah, Ms. Dairia?" Gone was the irritation he had for Dairia a moment ago, it was replaced with a certain commitment that possibly belonged to a person for hire.

"I would like to employ you to be my bodyguard while I'm at the academy is that alright? You will receive the same amount I've given you every week. Do you agree?"

"I WoUlD lOvE tO!" Rizu didn't think much of it and took the opportunity quickly.

"And you his minion, I don't want you near me so shoo!" She waved her hand as if I was a dog. I could only glare at her, and moved towards her direction which was our next class was located.

"Don't come any closer, peasant." I didn't heed her advice, as I didn't want anything to do with her at this moment.

"D-Don't move closer!" She grabbed her uniform tightly at the side, yet I again ignored it.

"Hey bodyguard! Stop him!" She looks incredibly flustered, her eyes screaming a bit of lunacy.

"I can't he's my friend!" Rizu reasoned.

"I-I'll double your pay j-just stop him!" Rizu's eyes twinkled a dollar sign again.

"Look Virule, no offense but money talks here..." Rizu looked at me fiercely but I paid him no mind and continued walking towards the direction where Dairia was.

Rizu tried to punch me but I showed him a well-performed block, I didn't waste 2 years by just reading books, I also trained my body. So the result was spectacular. I already predicted his fist to strike at my block so I just lessened the impact it would give to me, I pulled his arms to me and put him into a headlock.

He struggled but I quickly threw him to the side. He tried to recover fast but I was already in front of Dairia, who was biting her lips with a bit of grimace on her face. She was beginning to freeze up as I moved towards her direction.

"N-no!" Rizu reached out his hands to my direction while Dairia who was malfunctioning as a human didn't move from her spot. How dramatic... don't they know that we're already late at class? Tchh...what a pain.

While they were both having a dramatic scene. I moved towards the classroom door while staring at them.

"Hey...look we're already late at class and you guys want to perform an act?...sigh..." I shook my head and proceeded to go to class. Both of them reacted quite late, so they both scramble as they recovered their wits. They faces reddening at the embarassing act they somehow performed.

Arriving at the class, the three of us were put to shame by the eyes of our other classmates. The teacher looked at us with a raised eyebrow.

"Well if it isn't Dairia, I wonder what I would tell the duke this time..." The teacher was dressed in a formal way, his hair was maintained, and he was wearing spectacles as his eyes had a glint of amusement. Judging at the way he teased Dairia, I noticed that he was acquainted with her father, probably a tutor for her in her younger years. Just like the one I had.

Looking at the blush and a downcast face of Dairia it seemed my speculations were right.

"I won't deduct a point to the three of you so find a seat and we'll resume our classes." The three of us found a seat for ourselves, Dairia was looking menacingly at me gesturing a "I'm watching you" hand sign. I didn't care about her petty hostility, as I focused on the class.

"For the latecomers I will introduce myself again, I am your teacher Tetuclise Anserheim in a subject of yours that is called Supernatural Control."

"Without further interruption I will continue our lecture. Who here knows the basic structure of the supernatural powers?" Dairia immediately raised her hand and answered.

"The basic structure of the supernatural powers is called a Giryotes. Giryotes are described as the raw energy to form the baselines of supernatural forces , Giryotes are in a way the origin energy of all the powers that every being wield.

"Thank you for that Dairia, atleast you learned something from my previous teachings after all." Dairia glared at the teacher, and the teacher smirked at her.

"Now that Ms. Dairia covered what Giryotes are, we will then proceed in how to harness it on ourselves, be careful doing this in your home. Many had already died from it, so I don't want another of those incidents to happen. So drill that into your minds."

"Harnessing Giryotes is a delicate process that needs assistance of a person skilled with identifying it, like me for instance. but for now I will show you what a Giryote is like, so feast your eyes." Tetuclise with a snap of his finger summoned a light blue ball of energy, it looked like a blue ball of plasma from what I can see.

"This here is what you call a Giryote, they can be rapidly absorbed and released, absorbing a lot could kill you and releasing it without proper instructions could harm your body. So for now just watch on how I would absorb and release the Giryotes." The teacher clasped his hand together and let the Giryote evaporate in the air. He chanted words that commanded the Giryotes to move and be absorb into his hands before casting it by saying "Release" the giryotes then flowed out of his hands and scattered into the air before disappearing from the naked eye.

"See what I did there? Only with precise movement and the right command could you absorbed and release the Giryotes you can harness. It's just a simple concept like breathing, you inhale and then exhale but you do it voluntarily. So before you choose a Supernatural power that is suitable for you, you should first master harnessing Giryotes in your hands."

"All of you should try doing exactly like how I've done it previously, don't worry if you fail or forgot a step I can assist you." He beckoned all of us to the front. after a while he started arranging us in a row.

"You should go first Ms. Dairia, let them see how you do it."
