Chapter 18 Andor's First mate returns

In seeing Andor, my mind flooded with memories; I hated what I had done but loved someone else. When I was thirteen, I met the prince of the south and we used to sneak out to see each other all the time. I had an aunt who was a pack member in his royal kingdom, so I would beg my parents to allow me to stay with her during the summers. Jesup and I hated being apart, so we even thought we could be mates.

My heart was always warmly embraced by Jesup's fun loving attitude, swinging across the river on tire swings. We ran through the forest, listening to the leaves crunching beneath our feet. On many nights, we crawled to the castle's top and stared at the stars while testing each other's knowledge about Greek and Roman gods. Whenever his hands touched mine, I felt like any female she-wolf who wondered if we would end up together and bear pups.

He was a year younger than I was. When I turned eighteen, I didn't feel that glorious mate pull they taught us about in high school werewolf mates. However, I just brushed it off as he wouldn't turn eighteen for another year. My theory was that the southern prince needed to be eighteen as well for both of us to feel the mate pull. I was so sure that he was my goddess given mate.

You would think I would have noticed then that even if King Andor were under eighteen as well, I would be aware that he was my mate. I didn't notice the bond between us quite frankly because I graduated high school, and to be near Jesup I attended college near his pack.

The entire pack was required to attend a birthday celebration. As soon as I smelt pine tree and acorn scent, I sought to determine where the scent was coming from and was shocked to discover that it was that of young Alpha Andor.

When I saw him, I was shocked because I already had a boyfriend who is The Future King of the South and I had been dating him for several years. As I gazed at him, I felt locked in his gaze. My stomach ached, knowing that I could have handled this situation in a kinder manner, but all I could think of was NO WAY! I cannot give up the man I have been dating, the man I love. Not this boy, I am interested in a man.

A grimace fills my face as I continue to speak, ignoring the sad eyes of the man. "I, Minerva, daughter of Beta Wilson, reject you as my Alpha and my mate." He then fell to the ground in severe pain; I felt bad, but I did not express it. Even though I did not want him to think there was any possibility that we might form a mate bond, he rejected me as well, but what I was not expecting was what occurred when he verbally rejected me.

"I, Andor Alpha, of the Shadow Crown Warriors Pack, accept your rejection of Minerva Wilson as my mate and future Luna. In addition, I have excluded you from our pack for your disrespectful rejection of me. You will be given twenty-four hours to leave, and a week to join another pack."

After spending many years in the Eastern Royal Kingdoms pack, where I was trained as a tracker, I found myself to be the most capable tracker ever. In this way, I was able to find my way back from the rogue's campsite to this very Royal pack that I left many years ago.

During the party of the Future King of the South pack, a princess from the north attended, and lo and behold, she was his mate. When I held his arm, he treated me like garbage, dropped it, took hers, and left with the princess to walk in the woods. My mouth hung open, my heart broke, since I had rejected my mate for him, yet he did not fulfill his promise to me. I was hurt, but I didn't show it.

To make him jealous, I dated some of his friends. He did not notice. In fact, when one of his friends walked up to him with me, he simply slapped his back with a congratulatory gesture. That night, I asked my date to take me home, that I had a headache, and I knew he was offended because wolves don't get sick.

Since I prefer to work alone rather than with others, I made sure I lost the other trackers. I thought that since I initiated the rejection, unless I rekindled my relationship with my first mate, I would not be eligible for a second chance mate. As I contemplated this, it occurred to me that he should no longer be angry, even welcome to have his mate back after all these years.

There is no doubt that every she Wolf dreams of being a queen Luna. I can just imagine myself in that position, with new clothes, vacations, my own little pack of friends. I hope I do not get whiny pack members, because I have no patience for people who cannot take care of themselves. (Rolling my eyes)

After returning to reality, Andor stood up to acknowledge me at his desk. When he stood up, he was wearing a snug white t-shirt that caressed his large muscular chest and arms. His jeans fitted precisely on his hips and showed off his muscular thighs. He had a straight face as he gazed at me, he had forgotten who I was.

I watch Andor grimace as he speaks, "Minerva! What are you doing here?!" He looked like he didn't hate me or like me. It was just an unreadable face.

"How did you get through the gates? I know you are banned, and your name is at all the gates."

"I go by another name, and I came from the south pack as a visiting party. I used my middle name and my mother's maiden name. The guards don't know me. It was so easy to get in."

I see Andor acts annoyed and threatens under his breath to make the guards Omegas. I notice his eyes glazed over, and then he comes back to me.

"Listen Minerva, see yourself out. I have another meeting and I want you off my grounds now!" He sits down while waving dismiss fully at me to go.

As I ran over to him, I kissed him before he sat down. He was trying to push me away, when suddenly a young woman looking angry walked in. I was puzzled and wondered, "What is she doing here? "?"?
