Carl was indeed getting impatient.
There is a wild beast living in everyone's heart, it is bound by chains, and outside the chains there is a sturdy iron cage.
Those chains are called laws, morals, rules...all external factors that affect them.
The chains are the same for everyone.
The iron cage is called: Original Heart.
This was different, and so was the beast.
In the current environment, the chains have become very thin, and the thickest one named law has disappeared.
But Carl felt that this was not a bad thing, not every beast was irrational.
Maybe it would be a good idea to let the beast out for a bit of fun once in a while.
Before I knew it, I had reached the camp.
Although it was still early, everyone was up. A few women were clearing away the dishes, while old man Dell was still at his post on the roof of the RV.
Well, Eddie and the other two were chatting on the other side, and they might burst into some rather obscene laughter. After all, as men, they only have those few topics to talk about.
Carl could understand, well, understand.
In front of the RV, there is an open space covered with plastic, and underneath are several wooden tables. This is where everyone usually eats.
Carl sat down behind the cleanest wooden table and began to wait silently.
From this position, you can see most of the camp. Because it is on a farm, there are no obstacles around the camp.
The layout of the campsite is in the shape of an "奥" character, with the RV in the middle and tents on both sides. Carl is currently in the middle.
Eddie and the others knew where the guns were, inside the RV. Carl was sure they knew it because it was Carl who let them know.
The gun was indeed there, but unfortunately there were no bullets, which they didn't know.
Carl hopes Eddie will not let him down. After all, killing someone requires a reason.
Carl had a reason, really, to take seven or eight boxes? Maybe he didn't take all of them, but he did take them.
Even if he only took one box, it was still a disaster for Carl.
But Carl knew that this reason did not hold true in the eyes of others.
Well, Carl knew that if he really used this reason to kill Zack, even Sean would probably think that he was a little abnormal.
so,
Carl looked at Eddie's back in the distance, smiled, and murmured,
"Please don't let me down."
Waiting quietly is actually quite boring, but if you replace the word "waiting" with "expecting", it doesn't seem to be boring anymore.
I don't know how long it took, but it seemed not long. Anyway, before lunch, Sophia sat down next to Carl excitedly.
Carl felt that he needed to wear a watch, so he asked Sean to bring him one from time to time.
"Carl, why are you here today?" Sophia was very surprised to find Carl in the camp, especially since this Carl would never be in the camp before.
Before Karl could respond, Sophia said excitedly, "Karl, I took a shower and washed my hair yesterday."
Karl smiled and nodded, gently rubbing Sophia's head, a fragrance came out, as expected, the so-called body fragrance is the smell of shower gel or shampoo.
"Carl, are you leaving later?" Sophia asked.
"No, I can play with you for a long time today, if nothing unexpected happens…" Carl smiled and stroked Sophia's head like he was stroking a kitten.
Just treat it as a day off for yourself.
"Sophia, I remember you have a pen and a notebook, right? Can I use them?" Carl asked.
"Of course, Carl, wait, I'll get it for you." Sophia nodded and ran back to the tent to get the things.
The things were brought quickly, sketchbooks and watercolor pens, nothing much to choose from.
So Carl chatted with Sophia about childish topics, drew some letters casually on the notebook with a watercolor pen, and stared at his goal.
Somewhat beyond Carl's expectation, Eddie and the other two did not do anything until noon.
Even when preparing lunch, he was very proactive in helping.
Carl didn't know, did they really not have too many ideas, or were they too patient? Or were they too suspicious?
But that doesn't matter.
After lunch, Carl took Sophia for a walk around the camp and returned to his original position to continue waiting, or rather, looking forward to it.
…
"Sophia, please don't run around here. I'm going to the bathroom." Carl reminded her and got up to leave.
Although Carl didn't have a watch, he could tell from the setting sun that it would only take a few hours before sunset, and Sean and the others should be back soon.
Eddie frowned, Zack was stunned for a moment, and Pete smiled kindly.
This was their expression when Carl walked up to them.
"Young man, is there anything wrong?" The speaker was Pete, a slightly fat Indian man.
"Did any of you take the milk by the steps?" Carl asked with a smile.
"Kid, is your name written on the milk?" Eddie pouted.
"Of course not." Carl smiled indifferently.
"Hey, man, you're too rough with the kid." Pete said with some dissatisfaction, then smiled at Carl, "Sorry, kid, that's how Eddie is."
"Kid, go play somewhere else." Eddie didn't take Pete's words to heart. On the contrary, it might make him even more upset.
Carl ignored Eddie and Pete, looked at Zach, and said, "Can you talk to me alone, Zach?"
Zach was the only one of the three who looked a little thin, and he seemed to talk very little.
Zack was stunned for a moment. He didn't expect that Carl was looking for him. He hesitated for a moment and subconsciously looked at Pete.
Finally, Zach nodded and said, "Okay."
"Then follow me." Carl turned and walked towards the woods behind the farm.
Zack hesitated for a moment, and only jogged to catch up after Pete reminded him that Carl had gone far away.
Carl stopped. This was where he usually practiced throwing knives. It was in the woods, some distance away from the camp and the small building.
"Your name is Carl, right? What do you want from me?" Zack asked.
Karl came back to his senses and looked at him, keeping a distance of about three meters, "I want to ask you some questions, and I hope you can answer truthfully."
"What's the problem?" Zach was a little surprised.
"That's right, but can you promise me not to hide it first? The soul of the deceiver will fall into hell." Carl smiled.
"Hey, kid, what are you talking about? Do you want me to play house with you?" Zack also laughed. He thought Carl was joking.
Carl still had a smile on his face, but he had already taken out his Glock and turned on the safety.
"Ding~"
The sound of the fuse is very small, but it can be heard clearly in the quiet woods.
"You can continue to use your ridiculous humor that I don't care about, but I can't guarantee that I won't pull the trigger."
