A Heart to melt...

Delroy's POV

I need to visit the Dukedom of the east today as well as my fiancé Audrey.

As soon as the door opens, Audrey suddenly throws herself on me, I was getting uncomfortable because I only know her a little bit.

I heard a lot of rumors about her, she was a villainess, was dramatic, insensitive, selfish, and always tormenting her little sister.

Speaking of...

I glance around as I awkwardly pat her head, I saw a little girl hiding in one of the maid's backs. She had unique pink hair, and red ruby eyes, I have to admit she caught my eye. No... Then I shook my head of getting rid of that thoughts. The more feelings and emotions I'll feel and show will shorten my life. I need to act as impassive as possible.

I decided to stay here and get to know my fiancé the future empress of the kingdom. But every time I'm with her (Audrey) I always think of that little girl. I can't take my thoughts off her. I also heard about her, as she was an adoptive daughter of the Duchess and used to be a slave. How pitiful. I heard that she was the opposite of Audrey, she was kind, gentle, innocent, and pure, like a saint they say. It's strange, I feel strange, every time I thought of her or she was around, I can express my emotions more freely, I feel light in my heart as if my cursed cold iced heart was slowly melting. Maybe, she was the key to breaking the curse?

I saw her, today, she was riding a swing in the garden, and she hummed something, her voice was beautiful, as the butterflies fly around her and the flowers around her. The breeze comes, and she turns herself and locked eyes with me. I feel like I'm slowly getting healed just to her gaze. She gently smiled at me, and I can't help to be flustered. I shouldn't feel this kind of thing to her, I had a fiancé dammit! And besides, she was still young, so I suddenly turn my head away and walk away, never looking back.

I can't sleep that night, the beautiful smile I encountered today can't get off my head. Wondering what kind of expression she had when I suddenly walk away from her.

I stay in the dukedom for a week before coming back to the main palace, through those days, I can't help myself getting amazed by my fiancé's little sister, I know it was wrong but could she be the one who will break my curse?

I never felt like this before meeting her, she slowly melt my iced heart and it feels so warm just looking at her.

The moment I step out of the carriage, the servants bowed their heads for me, but I can see their gazes at me, looking as if I was a monster coming out of the carriage.

"Brother!" suddenly my stepbrother run in my direction, I can see his maid trying to stop him from running. He finally comes closer, he was panting so hard, yet I don't feel any pity, ah- my iced cold heart curse came back. "Your majesty!" the maid ran after him and give him his inhaler.

This is my step-brother, we were born on the same day but to different mothers, unlike me, he looks more like our father, the Emperor. He had Black eyes and black hair, the only thing that I was different from him in appearance is I had golden eyes comes from my mother. His name is Abaddon, ever since we are a child, he was always sick, no I don't feel pity for him or care about him at all. But the current Empress, his mother asked me to watch over him. That woman (the Empress) only cares about herself makes me feel disgusted about how greedy she gets. She was disappointed in Abaddon because he was ready to get sick, fragile, and had a slight stupidity. Still, I know she's using me just to pretend to be Crown Prince because she was scared that an enemy tries to kill Abaddon.

Abaddon finally stopped his heavy panting and look at me with a big warm smile, "welcome back brother!" he bowed his head and his maid tries to stop him "Your majesty!" she look at me as if she was disgusted and whispered to my brother's ear, I still can hear it "Your majesty should not bow his head to an illegitimate child of the Emperor".

"But Brother Delroy is not an illegitimate child and he was a crown prince," my brother said back. And once again smiled at me. At least there's one person who thinks I'm not a monster. And slightly make my heart light.
