'Game developing club...' she murmured to herself as she read from the board; 'Third floor, room 312.'
In the end, she didn't even find the nurse office, but as she was wondering around the school, she found the information board.
-Game developing club... otome game, I wonder if otome games exist in this world. Well it wouldn't be surprising if it didn't.
When it was past 10 am, she finally found the room. Though some students scorned at her when they saw her, no one tried to get her to go to her class, or stopped her. It was easy, rather too easy that it felt weird. Kikyo checked if the club room was open, & strangely it was open; 'Huh... that's weird.'
The inside of the room was pretty nice, and arranged neatly. There were five, or six table, with computers on them, & the carpet under was soft, fluffy as if made to lie on it. Also a blue, large beanbag was put before the television, with video game CDs put on the shelf below it. The whole room seemed cozy, & somewhat carefree, especially with the light green curtains opened up.
'Wow... as expected of rich kids' academy, it's so~ different from my old public school.'
Hesitatingly, she sat down on the beanbag; 'This is so wrong...' she told herself, but as she saw Japanese books on the shelf she got distracted.
'Whoa...' she opened the shelf, & took the advanced looking books to read. Unlike western language, katagana, hiragana letters were still easy to read but as it seemed... she forgot how to talk in Japanese.
'Ugh... it's my home language, but I... can't remember anything at all... somehow, though I understand what they mean, I can't speak it,' she groaned with upset look; 'So I can speak in western language, but I can't talk in my home language, and I can't read, or write in foreign language, but I can read, or write katagana?'
'... That's frustrating,' she rubbed her eyes, & opened a book as she sat on the bean bag.
'Game developing... by Minamoto Akami. Never heard of such a person, but aye. This game has books inside, & even a school, it's like real world... well, I guess it is real, at least for the people in here. If I know how villainesses usually die in modern games, I think I can avoid my fate, & also save Thomas...'
'Since most of the novels I read had been in old times, I can't imagine how villainesses would die in modern games. I should've asked Morimari about it.'
Sighing she opened the book, & started to read from the start.
~
'Kikyo, have you ever wondered what you would do when you grow up?'
'That's easy, I want to move away from grandma's house, so that I can live on my own. If possible, I'd move out right now.'
'... For me, for me... I don't have a clue. My parents said that they'd want the best for me, but they keep pressuring me to become a doctor.'
'Oh... my... foster parents, they were really nice. They were like my real parents, I don't exactly know what my real parents would've been like though.'
'I'm sorry for reminding you about that.'
'It's alright, I don't mind-' loud screeching interrupted her sentence, & before she could turn to see what was making the sound, her eyes fluttered open to meet with a good looking face close to hers.
'What are you doing here?' the boy asked, & she gasped as she realized she had dozed off; 'I'm very sorry,' she bowed down reflexively after standing up.
'I'm sorry for coming in without permission,' she bowed again, & the boy pursed his lips.
'What are you here for? Are you here to join our club? No girls are allowed to-'
'No, I'm not here to join the club.'
'... Then, if you're here to ask about Akito-'
'No, it's not like that either,' she denied immediately, fearing that she would be mistaken as doing what the real Renaquinn usually did; following, & stalking Ichiya Akito. Even if I actually liked him, I still wouldn't do that.
The boy frowned; 'Then, why are you here? You know you're not allowed to come into the club room, if you're not a club member, right? It's in the school rule.'
'Oh... I'm sorry,' she bowed down again; 'But, I have something really important to ask. It's really, really important.'
'I told you, I won't give you any information about Akito-'
'And I told you, it's not about him. I'm here to ask if... there are otome games here.'
'O... tome games?'
'You might not know, it's a Japanese game-'
'I know,' he cut her off, & sat down on the beanbag; 'Ask what you need to ask, but just to tell you, I don't have much time. You better get out by 3'o clock.'
'3'o clock?!' she gasped, & turned to where he was pointing; it was 2:45 at the moment. Which meant he was giving fifteen minutes, but... wow, I slept for almost three hours? Maybe even more?
'So? Ask,' he said, & she turned to him; 'Well... there are otome games which have a modern setting, right?'
'Yes.'
'Can you tell me about them?'
'I'll tell you about them, in fifteen minutes?'
'Ah... I'm sorry about being inconsiderate.'
'At least you realize that. Well, you can't understand them, by just being told, but if you want a recommendation, you should really play-'
'I've never played otome game before, I don't know how,' she said nervously, & he frowned; 'Then, why are you even asking about it?'
'Ah... I'm sorry,' she bowed down again.
'You're so annoying! Quit apologizing!' she flinched, & reflexively opened her mouth to apologize; 'I'm sorry-'
Kikyo covered her mouth; 'Um... sor... right, you're right, it must be annoying.'
'Hah... yes, it is very annoying. When you keep apologizing you're making me look like the bad person, even though you're the... well, if you don't know how to play otome games, I'll teach you.'
'Um... yes, thank you,' she bowed down, making him frown, & mutter something with furrowed brows.
'Yes?'
'Nothing, nothing. Are you done asking? I'm really busy right now-'
'Yes, I'm sorry for inconveniencing you, I apologize sincerely. Can I... maybe, come tomorrow to ask further on about otome games?'
'... It's good that you're telling me this, but why ask when you're going to come anyway? Does it even matter?'
'... It does matter. If you tell me not to come, I won't come again. So, I'm asking you if I can.'
'Hah! Whatever. If you see fit, then come but not after 3'o clock. You have to go before 3'o clock, alright? And come after 2:40, when school ends.'
'That's... twenty minutes.'
'You don't have to come if you-'
'No! It's ok!' she bowed down, & turned to leave; 'Tomorrow! I'll come tomorrow!' she cried before opening the door, & then, she met with hundreds of girls waiting outside the room.
'What? What's she doing here?' they asked from each other, glaring at her, & she gulped as she tried to squeeze her way out.
-Why are these girls crowding here? He said no girls are allowed to join, didn't he? And, also...
She frowned at the bags they were each holding; some sweets, snacks, boxed milks, & such.
Though they pushed her on purpose sometimes, & hit her, she managed to come out with little damage. This scene was kind of familiar, how the girls were waiting outside the class holding sweets; Hmm... this is... valentines day? But there's only one guy inside, was he that handsome?
The bright blue eyes, matured face despite being a kid like her, & fluffy brown hair that didn't seem to fit his scowling; well, he was handsome, but not as good looking as Akito...
Her face burst into red, & she fixed her throat before walking away.
