The Villainess Is A Beast Tamer

“Sorry, Theron doesn’t like guests,” she sneered, glaring at the man who decided to bother her. with a finger still on the collar of the large tiger, she walked forward dangerously close to him with her not so little friend in tow. “He’s also not too fond of being interrupted before meal time.” this time, she let go of the collar, allowing the beast to pounce as she licked her lips, watching as the intruder tried to hide behind his arms, only to get bored and pull at the leash right before he was mauled. Bending down, she gave him a good few scratches under the neck and a chaste kiss, before focusing back on him. “Seems like you didn’t wet yourself there, congrats. You did better than we expected.” she laughed, it was then he saw not one more set of eyes, but over twenty sets of predatory gazes on him. “Here’s some friendly advice, your majesty. Try running, and they’ll pounce.” with that, she walked off with her tiger, only to be stopped as he grabbed her wrist, breaking free of his cold sweat. “Please, don’t leave me alone here!” he whimpered, his eyes looked as sad as the wolves whenever she’d stop petting them. closing her eyes, she pondered for a moment. “If I do, will you do me a favor in return?” she asked, her expression never once shifting. nodding frantically, she pulled his own wrist, releasing her’s from his grip and walked him beside her as she took him out and away from the cats. As they continued walking, he tried to break the silence. “Thank…” he started but she interrupted. “Don’t thank me yet. The birds can be quite aggressive when mating, it’s going to be a few minutes, a pure miracle you didn’t die sooner.” she told him, still walking leisurely as she wanted to ensure Theron got his exercise. Gripping his wrist harder as a warning, she finally came to an abrupt stop. “Annul our engagement, and stay away from my family. Do not ever speak to me again.” she ordered, the beast growling up at the prince. “No!” it was now her turn to be surprised as he bowed, head nearly touching the pavement. “Anything but that, I will do anything my lady wants whether it be gold or asking for the most expensive jewelry. But the one thing I will never do is annul our engagement!” His eyes sparkled, and for the first time she saw confidence within them. Just why was he so insistent on marrying her to the point he went from crying to a totally different person! As her mouth hung agape, she heard the yelling of another boy. “Theia!” It was Nyx. ——————————————— What’s worse than finding yourself reincarnated in a novel you read and not being the main character? Being picked up by Isaac she decided to be simply blunt with him and with what she had wanted. With Arkadios Elyas here she could piece together at the bare minimum this involved something with Isaac's trip. She knew the boy well enough to realize one thing, and that was Arkadios hated Penelope with every single fiber of his being. Even her name would make him visibly cringe up.

If he were here Penelope would know for sure, she couldn't wait to deal with her, oh how she was dripping with sarcasm. "Eins, why's young master Arkadios following me?" She asked, pointing at the brunette. There was always something she could count on Isaac for, and that's keeping people away.

It looked like Isaac was conflicted as he watched her, eyes looking to at the boys and then back at her. "Both Nyx and I are going to be busy for awhile, we'll try to be back soon." Her eyebrow twitched, what did that have to do with that boy being here?

"You're always busy these days, why can't I help?" She asked, trying to inquire just what they were trying to do without her. This damn family is so secretive that the only person honest with her at this point was their mother.

Placing her down on the bed, Isaac frowned and handed something over to Nyx. A black bag the looked quite heavy and made a bit of a crinkling noise. "It's something you shouldn't worry about. Just focus on your tea party with him." Picking up the bag, Nyx looked at it solemnly and elbowed Isaac lightly in the ribs, the other boy hissing.

"I'm going to visit mother before we leave, do you want to come?" That was the first time in a long time Isaac had told her she could go and visit their mother. Ever since she was a baby Isaac and Nyx had practically raised her more than her mother, it had been over three months since she'd last been able to see her.

She hadn't died yet, but she knew her mother was kept away from the majority of the children and wives, mainly staying in her room and nowadays no longer visiting the gardens. She'd thought up to this point Isaac may be protecting her, but she couldn't shake off the bad feeling.

Both Isaac and Nyx shared looks that were unreadable to most people, but she could tell they were having a conversation with their eyes again. It was probably something to do with their mother and the Elyas boy if they were going to be gone for who knows how long with them.

He was always running all over the place, the irregular third prince, Cyrille, Arkadios, how were they all connected? The story hadn't taken place yet and it already changed so drastically. The Elyas family was never in kahoots with the Argyris children, Cyrille and Isaac should be dead, and the third prince with white hair shouldn't have their support. She was a peace offering in the novel but it never actually acknowledged the Argyris family as big supporters as the third prince, rather they were supporting the royal family.

The pieces of the puzzle weren't adding up and she didn't like it. Stealing a glance at the Brunette, he had his eyes open and watching her in silence, leg against the doorframe, how annoying. Everyone at the moment was super annoying. "I wanna see her before you go! Does this mean I can see her more often?" She asked, Nyx taking over as he urged Isaac to pack his stuff away.

"Lady Cyrille's isn't gonna be free for awhile, ya can visit her again when Isaac returns." He said when Isaac returns, meaning they planned to go somewhere separately. As expected, she had to keep away from their mother for the time being after Isaac left.

With a bit more back and forth she found nothing much out of them, other than Arkadios would be escorting her around for a bit. Isaac and Nyx hinted they wouldn't be back in time for her tea party, Rosalyn would be acting as her guardian then as well.

Arkadios had been far too quiet for her liking, she'd actually wish he would upfront make fun of her instead of watching her in silence, just like the duchess did whenever she found something amusing. Finally getting the chance to visit her mother, she forgot how beautiful she was.

Long platinum blonde hair, jewel blue eyes and a soft gentle smile. Really, she was an angel. After the hunt she was still extremely worried for her daughter's safety, but trusted Isaac enough that he wouldn't let anything happen to her. She had to applaud her for being able to not turn into a monster while residing in the estate.

"Eins, Nixie, Theia!" Her mother called out happily, sitting on her bed with her head maid beside her, watching her closely. Her ominous feeling grew unconsciously but she didn't have time to think about it as she got up, giving them each a hug before spotting the fourth child. "I'm sorry, and you are?" She asked.

Even he was affected by her grace as the tips of his ears flushed slightly, there was really no one more beautiful than her mom. "Arkadios Elyas, Lady Theia's friend." Blinking at him, she watched her mother greet him and exchanged formalities, thanking him for watching over her as this was the first time she'd heard him call her his friend.

Gross, take that back right now she wanted to say but couldn't as Isaac ushered them all to sit down, four chairs laid out where each child took by her mother's bed, a large array of sweets available on a temporary table.

This was the first time in a long time she'd eaten sweets together with her mother, remembering the first time she'd seen Isaac eat some dessert with her. It was a lemon tart, and yet Nyx was coughing out a lung, trying not to die by how sweet it was. On the other hand Nyx and her mother were eating just fine.

It was rare moments like this the Argyris estate was at peace. Their mother laughing, Nyx and Isaac acting like a cat and dog duo, a stranger's kid staring at her and her mom, her eating a tongue numbingly sweet cake, but this world was not one of happiness. Peace would never last long as darkness always followed each monster child in the Argyris family,

Thank you for reading. <33 Hope you enjoy! Theia won’t be seeing much of Isaac and Nyx for a bit, can you guess what they’re doing? I also hope you remember just who Arkadios is and what his family can do~ <33 ^^
