The Vengeful Cosa Nostra

Shackled by her father's greed, young Annabelle Calvin feels dejected by the world. Yet, her smile remains constant; all of her brighter than the sun. She, however, was misfortunate enough to cross paths with the underworld's wrath. Facing the heartless mafia monsters from the Regis Family, she finds herself stuck in the continuous blood war. From being forced to become a medium between multiple families of the underworld and tormented to no end, Annabelle had come to suffer more than she lived in ease. Only when she was ready to bury it all in, one enigmatic man's appearance flooded her mind with all the memories she'd ever want to forget, making her feel all the emotions she had not wanted to bear anymore.  Hands covered in blood of both the innocent and immorals, the Mafia Lord, Albert Hemsworth was known as the most ruthless of his times. Be it a serious or a simple situation, his only choice was attacking head first, burying all formalities into the ground. Dare one be disloyal and dare one lie to him, because if they did, death was the only destination they were to reach from such actions. While he despised betrayals, as long as he gained the power he needed to annihilate his enemies, he would cross all lengths within the boundary of his principles to do so. He was the Lord and so the rules he set were bound to be followed. If not, simply death wasn't enough for the seditious. Laying low while conspiring for his final revenge was his common way of living. However, life doesn't always let one have it their way. Without realising that what he was seeking for was so close to him, Albert found himself stuck in a never ending bloodbath. However, matters do not just stay this simple. The Regis Family inspite of facing the harsh fall still had an heir to their throne. The young gentleman charms making it hard to look away. The way his words could lure even the smartest of people was a sight to watch. Choosing to walk the same path like that of his father, the young master of the Regis Family sets out to avenge the gruesome death of his father. Little did he know that the mission he was determined to accomplish was an invitation to the wrath of the demons known as the Demonic Cosa Nostra. Betryal was regarded as an act of impurity and hence the punishment was severe. The Demonic Cosa Nostra was in an havoc when the Mafia King took matters into his own hands. His hate for the Regis Family was never burned down and to think that his own men had started forming allies with the nemesis, that Albert was irate would be an understatement.

Stuck in the Dungeon

Narration

"Stop, please stop" she screamed through tears rushing down her cheeks. "Dad, I- I swear I didn't meet any guy," she said with fear in her voice.

"Shut up! Just shut your bloody mouth up, I'm not interested in listening to your lies anymore," he shouted with a tight grip on his daughter's hair.

Annabelle did not say a word, as she knew this would only make the situation worse for her. Her entire body was shivering due to the pain her father had caused.

"Listen well, if I find out that you're still in contact with any boy, I'll make sure the next thing he sees is your dead body, do you understand you, daughter of a bitch" Mr Calvin said with his jaws clenched and smacked his fist on the wall right next to Annabelle's face.

He left the room and slammed the door hard enough to scare the hell out of anyone present there. But for now, it was only Annabelle who was stuck in this dungeon or her so-called house with her abusive father.

By now, Annabelle was used to this torture, that she had to face almost daily. Her father was a man who would love to spend his entire earning on women, alcohol, drugs, and everything else except his daughter. He was the only guardian of Annabelle, her mother passed away when she was only 9. This is when the worst of days came up to Annabelle.

After her mother's death, her father would get drunk and hit his daughter until he was glad and satisfied by looking at her bleeding and crying in pain. He would always lose his temper with Annabelle even on the slightest question with an answer of a 'Yes' or 'No'. He also blamed her for the cause of her mother's death, which was never the truth.

It made Annabelle shiver even today when she would recall the day her mother left the world. She never understood why her father was so cruel to her and always friendly around people from who he would benefit.

Annabelle was a very beautiful girl. Her eyes were as though one would get lost in the greyish-blue colour that seemed like diving into something as beautiful as an ocean when looking straight into them. Her skin was white and any hurt that she would have got was clearly visible on the smooth and soft skin of hers.

Every feature of hers was perfect-- perfect and beautiful. She had long and wavy hair that covered her upper back amazingly due to the thickness and length it had. She was totally a dream to have. Delicate yet fragile. Her lips naturally had a shade of pink. She did not like to clown herself up with the tone of makeup as she found it pretty uncomfortable.

Where ever and whenever it would be she would try to look as simple as possibly could. She had to learn a lot of tricks to hide all the cuts or bruises her father would gift her every day.

She had been through a lot and yet managed to live her life pretty well. She went to college and had many friends. Annabelle got along with all sorts of people very well. She had no problem adjusting to anywhere new.

Due to all the tortures, she went through she had become intense. her friends loved her and did a lot for her whenever she wanted them. Annabelle herself was very helpful and loving towards her friends.

She was known by everyone in her college and had an excellent reputation. Her parents had never heard a single complaint about her from her school and now college. She was always said to be well-behaved and supportive.

She always thanked her college for the uniform they had provided, they had long sleeves and it helped her hide all the ugly scars and marks she had on her body. She did not have a lot of marks on her face except the ones on her lips. She would always get along with a lie whenever someone would ask her about it.

Annabelle did not open up to people very easily the only person she trusted most after her mother was her best friend Ciara. Even after trusting Ciara, Annabelle never did tell her about her personal life a lot. It always scared her to speak of things one could never imagine of.

Annabelle made an attempt to stand but fell back, her lips were bleeding as well as her hands, she also had several cuts and the old ones were still clearly visible. She again tried to stand and succeeded this time.

Slowly, with tiny steps, she walked her way towards her bed and crawled under the covers, shut her eyes thinking about the beautiful memories she had of her mother. this was always a good way to go to sleep putting aside all the troubles in her life.

By thinking of all the happiness and great time she had to spend with her friends and her beloved mother, she went to deep and sound sleep, still tears running down her soft cheeks.
