Chapter Eight. The Orphan

" But Jacob you cannot possibly mean what you are saying now, you need to take care of that child " Mrs Sanchez said.

" I do not have time for this discussion with you Sanchez , you were our nanny and that is it, I am not about to put my life on hold because Jessica decided to die and leave her baby with me". Jacob Marshal said looking out the window of his condo, he just hated this mess. It is very much like Jessica to decide to run away when the responsibility is getting real, now she even died on the child that she begged him to keep, what a waste of Sex and effort.

" But you know that Jessica your late wife was an orphan, if she had any family members am sure one of them would have taken in this baby, how about talking to your mum and dad about it?" Mrs Sanchez said.

Jacob just smirked because he knew how much his parents hated Jessica and told him to call off whatever was going on between them, he actually did not like Jessica much just that people loved her and he wanted to make himself look like a human being in the sight of the general public and it worked.

The Marshal group is at the top of the food chain, totally kicking ass .

" Ask us what Sanchez?" They both turned to see Jacob senior and his wife Margarete walking into the kitchen looking as impeccable as usual, with a cold look in their eyes, Mrs Sanchez immediately brightened up and turned to them with a smile .

" Good morning to you Mr and Mrs Marshal , it's about the baby girl given birth to by Jessica your sons wife, I was hoping you will intervene and take him with you or better still influence his decision to just dump her somewhere" she looked expectantly at them with stars in her eyes .

But they started laughing hard, something that Mrs Sanchez has never seen before.

" What makes you think , that after that gold digger died I would allow any of us including my son have anything to do with that girl? She is destined to be an Orphan just like her mother was " Mrs Marshal said shocking Mrs Sanchez who looked at them with her mouth wide open in shock.

" Oh close your mouth Sanchez, the decision has been made and you will do as you are told, atleast now my son can marry from the right place " Mr Marshall said and walked out of the room with a scotch glass.

Jacob turns to Mrs Sanchez with a smirk and then walked out of the room saying, " Make sure I don't see that child by the time I return from the meeting"

" And do not think of keeping that piece of garbage to yourself, we do not want it traced to us through you or anyone, so better dump her somewhere , make the wrong move and loose Fabrisa your daughter" Mrs marshal said all the while wearing a smile as she walked away too.

Mrs Sanchez stood rooted on the ground unable to process what really happened a few moments ago, then the first tears fell as she cried not for the child but for Jessica who had made a big mistake of entrusting her child with the wrong family, she so wanted to run away with the child but she knew that they will make true their threats and that people like that are heartless.

She left the kitchen still sobbing quietly and headed straight to the nursery where the child was laying, immediately she stepped in, she immediately lost her composure and sat on the floor crying, remembering how excited Jessica was and how she decorated the whole place herself with a little help from herself.

After what felt like an eternity , she got up and wrapped the child in her arms but funny thing is that she did not cry, instead the baby just stared at her .

" Oh my, you are one strong girl you know? I need you to stay strong and always remember that your mum and your nanny loves you " then she hurriedly left the house, got into her car with the basket carrying the baby and drove off, out of Huntsville and straight to Haven three towns away , then she started looking for an orphanage.

Although they told her to dump the child anywhere but she refuses to leave the child to die so she stopped in front of an orphanage and then turned round to the back , after making sure nobody saw her, she quickly dropped the child in front of the back exit , kissed the child goodbye before running off.

"Oh my God" a gasp was heard when a few minutes later the back door opened and Mrs Scott one of the handlers came out and saw a baby at the door step, she quickly ran to the basket and picked up the child, there was one big note attached to the baby's cloth and when she turned it , she found the name Stormy there.

She quickly went back inside the orphanage home, and that day bleeding hearts orphanage had an addition , a very strange one with a strange name.

She was so unusual because she does not cry or fuss , it almost feels like taking care of an adult trapped in a child's body, she was like that till she turned five and she seemed to change back into factory reset and stated trying to mix with the others but it was late already because all the other kids see her as a freak .

A letter was attached to her cloth the day that Mrs Scott found her, and in that note Mrs Sanchez explained that Stormy's mother passed away and her father decided to give her away, in due time this information spread and the other kids stated saying she killed her mother and drove her father away.
