She's A Goner!
Six days later.
It was a sunny afternoon.
Laura was combing her hair in front of the mirror. She's planning to go horseback riding today around the Bay Meadow property when she heard a commotion outside the window.
She rose to her feet, went to the window, and looked down below. She saw a new carriage parking in the backyard. "Who's carriage it is?" she asked aloud.
She walked towards the door to go downstairs wanting to find out who is the visitor who just arrived?
She opened the door and exited the room, she walked into the hallway going to the staircase. She was already on the top of the stairs when she caught sight of the man who entered the door, he wore a black flowing cloak. He looks familiar!
"Where is Laura?" the guy asked.
"She is in her room, My Lord!" Sally responded.
Laura was rooted on the spot after hearing his all too familiar voice. OMG! It's Luke! The color was drained out of her face.
That was also the moment Luke looked up above and grinned.
