'People live to know life but why do     I live to suffer a curse?'

A somber rhythmic sound of hummings awakens my consciousness, it sounded exactly like a dirge.

As my lashes flickered, darkness met my very eyes. My lungs tightly pump as my adrenaline rush pulled me up from the ground, and released the waters that was absorbed to my bloodstreams which filled my lungs.

I coughed out the entire liquid that halted me to breath and refilled it with fresh air.

My dress was drench in water, and covered with dirt all over whilst I sat on the black sand barefooted. I looked around the place which is covered with redwoods but darkness made everything looks lifeless.

Made me realize, I'm in a deep forest in the middle of the night. There is nothing in here, even a single strike of light.

I gathered myself up and sat right next the huge stone, as my arms encircling my knees. My eyes look around for a help, that is impossible to be in this secluded place.

As whilst, waiting for miracle to come down from heaven. Melancholic scenes began play inside my head. Moments, I wish I could forget.

The pain burns my heart to dust, the wound locked my heart from people. How am I gonna save myself from this kind of pain? If two people you trusted the most, betrayed you.

From afar, within the gloom of it's darkness. A light—a suspicious light shone upon the murky forest. I couldn't stop the eagerness within me to left the place, So I ran quickly as I could to catch who owns that light. But, as soon as I step my foot within that certain area, the light walks away from me.

Maybe if I didn't follow that light, everything would be different.

My bare feet walks within the leafy path, as my eyes was focusing towards the direction of the light. The more I walked away from that black shore and the deeper I got into the forest, the dimmer it gets.

And in one swished, that light was taken aback from me and only darkness is left in the surrounding. I then wrapped my arms around me, upon the cold wind blowing suddenly out of nowhere, which it's coldness slips through my bone.

"Follow me," a deep gruff voice suddenly whispers heavily to my ears.

My body stiffened out of surprise, and his voice somehow felt intimidating. As my heart raced with my breathing, I felt his dismal presence behind me, which caused more pressure for me to calm down.

"Who are you?" although I am struggling to cope the fear within me and yet my voice remained calm despite of it.

"Follow what I say"

His voice became more penetrating and mandatory, a voice of a grim reaper. It's gravelly and guttural tone is getting into my nerves, which leads me to horripilation.

"Walk," he ordered, in which I did.

The atmosphere within us is filled with a dark ambiance of the murky forest and the unknown person who looks like a ladrone.

"Turn left"

I stopped for a moment, trying to recognize something familiar with him.

"Continue,"  he tonelessly mandated, I continued my path but then, I realized the texture of his voice, the tone and everything.

My feet stopped the moment my thoughts and assumptions were accurate enough to believe.

"A-are you the one who saved me?" my voice tautly stammered, and quickly turned my body around to face him and give him the words of gratitude but, the moment I turned there was no one behind me at all.

He disappeared like magic, like how the light was suddenly taken away.

I was left dumbfounded and speechless. Nothing seems to make a sense nor was it just my hallucination?

A loud sound of horn broke my ear, my body turned to where the sound came from and I realized I'm blocking the path for the car to pass.

A sense of consciousness hit me, perceiving the fact that I'm already out of that forest, the lights on the road and the people were now visible.

When I got home, mother was sitting on the living room with nothing but silence around her. Her hair was covered by a black scarf, as she was murmuring something in latin, like a prayer or ritual.

The entire place was filled with candles, which is the only thing that lightens the room.

I entered soundless avoiding to make her notice my arrival but as soon as I walk passed the couch, her frail voice rang upon my ears.

"What took you long?" she asked, as her feeble body rose from the ground

"Raven, took me to the movies," I lied, as I tried to keep that fraud smile plastered on my face.

"What happened to your dress? Did something happened? Did you met someone?" she fidgeted. Her hands were trembling to touch my mucky dress, as well as she was drowsy walking towards me with her nebulous eyes, sliding her worries along her cornea.

"Nothing mother, I accidentally slipped myself on the swampy part of the road." the heavens must have punish me now, for being deceitful.

"All right, take a shower and go to bed."

"How about you? It's late in the evening," she turned her back to me and bend back on the ground.

"Leave me, I'm doing some prayer." I simply nodded and went to my room.

"You're not allowed to die" I could feel his hand grabbing my hair downward, as his lips was filling oxygen into my lungs.

"You are mine" he possessively said between our shared breath, the slight peek of my passing vision saw how his pale skin reflects the light of the moon above the water's surface.

I woke up from the weird ambiance of my dream, as I felt a cold touch from someone's hand on my shoulders.

My body was ultimately perspiring from the intense intimidation I felt, it's fingers felt as cold as an ice and yet at the end, it perished away like a wind.

The moment I opened my eyes, the window along the side of my wardrobe was fully open, as it moves along by the wind.

I get off the bed and walk towards it in a slow pace with a total self-consciousness, a part of me was wondering how it was opened when I certainly locked it in the first place.

My hand quickly grabbed the metal box from my stationery and hid it behind my back, but when I arrived on the area there was no one in there at all. It was just the cold breeze of the night wrapped around me.

"Are you looking for me?"

a voice suddenly rang on my ear from nowhere, I looked around but there was no one.

"Are you scared?" he asked in a deep cold and airy voice.

"I'm not, who are you?"

My head turned to each side with the courage built on my body, the veins on my hand became visible as I held the box tightly.

"Show yourself!" I screamed madly.

In a matter of seconds, I felt a hand buried deep upon my shoulders as his breath brushed along my right cheek.

My vision straighten aligned with my back and chest out, when my body swayed to face him, he vanished in eternity.

" Don't ever find me again or you'll regret," his last words left hanging inside my mind. Who is he?
