Chapter 15 I just earned myself a shadow...

No bed time story today ...nanny Mary just helped me into bed and said good night.

I was wide awake ...but didn't get out of bed incase my dad came to check on me, I didn't want to get into any more trouble than I already am.

At seven years ...I am as mischievous as they come but none of my mischiefs has gotten this much attention maybe because most my dad ends up not knowing ...

I feel sad, sad because I made him sad...he said he was very sad that I had to behave like that ... embarrassing myself and him.

He made me understand that my behaviour made him look like a bad father; when he said that I looked into his eyes and saw the sadness ...and something else.. hurt.

I realised that I hurt my father with my behaviour...it was mischief to me but he made me realise I couldn't just go around playing very expensive tricks....

I apologised of course..and he said I was forgiven We hugged...but I will still be punished...my dad said being sorry is okay but that every action has consequences....Beni you have to learn that he continued...

I signed I wished I had a mother ....

My friend Sophie told me that no matter what or how angry she made her parents..her mother always comes to cuddle and give her a kiss....

My room door opens and my dad gave came in...he half laid down on my bed hugging me to him...

So how is my pumpkin doing....he said kissing my hair and tickling me..

I started laughing...and we started playing around and laughing ....I suddenly felt better.

After about an hour, my dad read me a bed time story..and I sweepingly kissed him telling him I,loved him.

I love you too pumpkin..sleep like an angel he said and left my room.

In the morning I walked into the living room and saw a strange lady sitting...probably waiting for my dad ...I didn't think much of it.

As I was eating my breakfast my dad walked in, he sat down and filled his plate with food.

I greeted him...telling him about the test I was going to write that day, we chatted and we when we both finished...he said I am taking you to school today.

I was surprised and excited...it's been long my dad took me to school...I started jumping and he laughed we both got into his car...yes I have my car too.

I noticed the lady sitting in the living room earlier entered the car behind for the bodyguards ...

Dad who is that lady ...all my father's security were men so seeing a woman with join them made me very curious...and she looks young.

Yes I was going to talk you about that ...that's you bodyguard May he said

Oh no no no...but I already have bodyguards dad I don't need ..

She is your personal guard, always with you; in school, at home everywhere

Even the restroom I asked looking frustrated

Yes pumpkin even the restroom he said laughing and caressing my face.

Really I said I was getting out of the car ...my dad smiled.

He came out of the car, bent down and gave me a hug...I love you pumpkin.

I will I promise I said knowing that I caused this...I have lost the little freedom I had.

I waved goodbye to my dad ..turned and walked into my school ...I just ignored May and about my seven year old business.

My friends were all laughing at me...Sophie said I deserved it.

I was not happy ...I knew I was going to be punished but I didn't expect this...I just earned myself a shadow.
