Chapter 1Game

William Romano's (POV):

One of my hobbies is playing games and I am particularly excited about horror games but, since it is a game, it sometimes gets me thinking about what I would do if I was the main character in one of them.

I would probably die in the least scary way. The only exception would be if I became the main character of the horror game I recently started playing, which is called "Black Castle". I would rather throw myself out of the window right away.

I say this because "Black Castle" is one hell of a game which creates sympathy for the characters no matter how evil or graphic they are. As a player, it makes me wonder if there is any other game that is this crappy.

I usually am not the type of person who would get stuck on one thing, so it feels strange to me to hang onto a game for a couple of days just so I could see the hidden ending.

Hidden ending?. Yes, there is one in this game. It's actually called "Real ending" or "Happy ending", but it is considered a hidden one because it was still not revealed yet.

No one had discovered it as of now. Even the most prominent game players could barely avoid the death ending, so it would only be natural that no one was able to find it.

I've started the game from the starting point so often that I've already completely memorized everything. I didn't even go too far off from the game start, but the protagonist had already died due to my brief mistake, not long after,

I died again before I could even reach the checkpoint so I had to restart from the beginning and the protagonist had to suffer yet again.

But I never stopped playing this game.

The ones getting killed in the game were the characters and not the player.

I killed the protagonist several times already, but I could always reset it again.

There were so many other games that were better, but I just had to see the hidden ending.

I never should have done that.

Because the next day when I woke up, I became a character in the "Black Castle".

I woke up realizing that something was wrong. The style and interior were something that I have never seen before, but I was wondering why everything that I'd seen seemed so familiar.

I even looked out of the window thinking that this could not be the only thing familiar, but I just got more miserable. Outside of the window, a graceful crimson moon was floating in the cloudless sky.

Whenever I played "Black Castle" a crimson moon would always appear outside of the window in the game.

'I entered the game world too'.

Of course, I have never seen this in reality. I've only read about it in romance and fantasy novels.

William POV

The man in that black hoodie was walking slowly towards his car parked near the basement of the mall.

I was dressed up in a full-sleeve black shirt and a pair of trousers with a black mystical hat to match my disguise. I have been tailing him for about 30 minutes.

The parking area was dark and desolated. The man must have sensed me behind him as he was walking unexpectedly fast. I was enjoying his scaredy-cat nature.

Suddenly, he stopped walking and turned back to me. "Umm, mister? Do you have something to say? I have been noticing you behind me for some time now." He spoke with a fearful voice while standing all frozen.

I smirked with a devilish gaze in my eyes and took off my hat. The man was terror-stricken due to a sudden confrontation with me as he rolled his eyes while staring at me.

"You...You..." He was murmuring anxiously but couldn't complete his words as he was too scared.

"Yes, I am the one you had been spying on for the past 2 days. And you thought I wouldn't sense it? What a dork!" I slowly started walking towards him with a satanic look in my eyes. He gulped nervously and started stepping back.

"Si-Sir, I am sorry. I didn't mean to do it, I was paid for my work to collect information about you and your Romano group. I didn't want to do it, but I was helpless." He started begging for mercy in a crippled voice while folding his hands.

I felt pity for his ignorance, he is asking for mercy from someone who knows nothing except eradication of his targeted ones.

"It's of no use. Besides, I also know that you are working for the Lupo group. And you don't even have the slightest idea how much I hate that group!

They snatched someone who was the most precious person in my life. And now, prepare to embrace your deserving gift!" With a dense expression, I groaned at him fiercely.

He seemed terrified of my threat and started to look all around him, but the parking area was completely deserted.

"Please...Please spare me, sir. I have my family. Please!" He started weeping helplessly while asking for forgiveness but I didn't stop.

"Have a safe trip to hell, you ignorant human," I grumbled in a dark voice with my eye-ball changing to a bright red colour as I was obtaining my true-alpha form.

He shivered with the fiery sight and immediately shrieked loudly, "help me! Someone, please save me from this monster!"

In a fraction of a second, my hefty razor-sharp claws grew from my nails as I was still in human form. With an absolute fast speed, I reached him within the blink of an eye while raising my claws.

SLLAASSHHHH

"Goodbye," I mumbled densely while slitting his throat brutally.

Blood drops splatted all over my black shirt as I eradicated his existence. It was just a matter of seconds to kill this fickle human like him for me.

"I will destroy the entire existence of the Lupo pack soon," I grumbled fiercely while clenching my wrist and my eyes changed back to black colour.

Leaving him questioning if she is truly his weapon or the one destined to unravel his carefully laid plans. *** He stalked toward me, a predator closing in on its prey, his eyes dark and unreadable. "So, you laugh?" His voice was low, dangerously soft, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I swallowed hard, suddenly aware of how difficult it had become to breathe. "Hades, I—" "But you only laugh at other men's jokes," he interrupted, his gaze piercing, devoid of any humor. "Not your husband's." The accusation in his tone was sharp, slicing through the air between us. A nervous chuckle escaped me. "You can't be serious... He’s your beta, for Goddess’ sake." In an instant, he closed the distance between us, so fast it left me breathless. His hands gripped my waist, pulling me flush against his body, the heat of him making my skin tingle. I gasped, but before I could say a word, his lips crashed onto mine, claiming my mouth with a force that sent shockwaves through me. The kiss was punishing, hungry—I couldn't breathe, couldn't think. When he finally pulled back, I was trembling, my chest heaving as I struggled to regain my breath. His eyes, dark and stormy, searched mine with a possessive intensity. "You can’t laugh at my jokes..." he whispered, his voice a dangerous rasp as his fingers trailed lower, sending a shiver down my spine, "but you’ll come with my fingers." I shivered, heat pooling low in my belly at his words, his touch. The world around us blurred, fading into nothing as his hand slipped lower, drawing a ragged gasp from my lips. The look in his eyes told me he knew exactly what he was doing to me, and there was no denying the primal connection between us in that moment. "I don’t need your laughter," he murmured against my skin, his breath hot on my neck. "I’ll have every other part of you instead." **** Dark fantasy romance Morally Grey ML Angst Suspense ENEMIES to lovers Smut (like sprinkles on your ice cream)
