The Mysterious Land

There is a land surrounded by a body of water. It can only be accessible by boat or plane. Those who have attempted the trip during the foul weather would not come back alive. Those who know of the passage are far or few. On a good day, the land would be cloaked in mysterious clouds. If one were patient, then they would see the clouds part to display a long arching bridge similar to those used in ancient China. If one were to tune their ear, then they could hear the echo of the ancient General Mismo. All the gray rock formations soaked up the old historical scene of battle. Some rocks worn smooth by hooves and boots and others by blades and gunpowder. If one were lucky, then perhaps by chance one could find a rusty button, buckle, or coin. Because no rain falls there in that land, the land remains unchanged by time only to be shrouded in mist. One could hear the marching formation with the moan of the ancient trees when the wind whipped through their branches. On one rock formation where the blood puddles the most, there is ancient markings on the rock wall. For those who visit this mysterious place, they return either changed or sane. While some remain quite, there are others who turn violent from the hauntings. All the men who previously ate hemoglobinic products depended for sustenance upon animals whose judgment was low and simple before they came to the mysterious land became corrupted. They ultimately beame villains, murderers, liars, or cowards. They did not realize that their unhappiness was caused by wrong eating and drinking. The fault lied their previous education, the professional variety, that made them a phonographic parrot instead of a sturdy plant. The ones who came only eating grass and the fruit bearing plants did not corrupt but stayed sane before, during, and after the trip to the haunted mysterious land.
