The Unbound (Multiverse: The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones?)

'What happens to you after a truck smashes you to death? A question I’ve asked myself a thousand times, as I read stories or watched animes involving Truck-kun. I’m sure many of you would have the same answer as me: ‘You get reincarnated silly.’ Or even those who’d say: ‘You meet an ROB and get a zillion wishes and go to your favorite world to build a harem and have cock measuring contests with everyone who looks wrong at you, DUH.’ I was surprised when I got to test it first hand. Scratch that, the only thought on my mind as I faced the enormous monstrosity, if there was any, was that I didn’t want to die, while my body thought it would magically solve the solution if I pissed and shat myself. Turns out that men shit themselves when they die, who knew?' This is a story about an ordinary man who suddenly found himself in a different world with a GAMER system! Or at least what appeared to be similar. Current World: Game of Thrones First World: The Walking Dead Second World: Game of Thrones I wish to do: Harry Potter, Danmchi, Marvel, DXD... Nothing is fixed yet, and I will be taking requests into consideration. ------------------------------------ Support me on Patreon and read up to 5 chapters ahead: patreon.com/xenongraves RELEASE RATE: I'm aiming for 10k words / week. so 1 chapter / day , with 2k words, though for now, I just post wherever I've reached. I haven't stockpiled chapters yet. ------------------------------------ Disclaimer: I do not own The Walking Dead. Thanks to LordValmar for the cover! ------------------------------------ This part is to help you decide if you want to read this or not. 1- Is this a HAREM story? I understand this is a deal breaker for a lot of people. So I'll avoid wasting your time. I didn't add a HAREM tag because it's not a HAREM story just yet. However, if you are ABSOLUTELY against the very idea of Harems, I suggest you avoid reading this, because as the author I am open to the possibility. However, at no point will this become a story where the MC gets any girl he wants just because he looked their way. I wish to make the interactions as human as possible. Needless to say, with the system, it might tip the scale in his favor. 2- Is the MC OP? At the start? Nope. he is as ordinary as they come. I'm trying to maintain a balance in the story. if he can speed run the world, there is no point in writing about his adventures at all if he's already a god. he will EVENTUALLY be OP, but not right off the bat. 3- Does the MC get wishes? No. If you have more questions, ask me in the comment, I'll give you an answer as soon as I can.

Chapter 12

"Yeah, well the moment you hit one of them, the sound will attract the others." Glenn said.

"It wouldn't matter." I explained. "It takes me five seconds to finish a zombie with my metal bat, ten at worse. By the time we're done with the two, we'd be free to deal with the others."

"It's safer to just go around them." Andrea cautioned. "Better safe than sorry. At most we lose some time to reach our destination."

"I think he's got a point." Jim added. "I mean right now, it's just five walkers. When we're coming back with our hands full of bags, the detour will cost us a lot if we're being followed. I think it's better to deal with them now that we have the opportunity than bear the consequences later. "

"He's got a point." Glenn added. "This is the closest way to the store. Changing it will cost us several minutes."

"Besides," Jim turned me. "Daryl tells us you've killed walkers before?"

"Sure did." I confirmed. Now, they didn't need to know 'how many' walkers. We can't always run away from them. A skilled group of five can easily kill twenty walkers without firearms. Better get some experience now than regret it later.

"So… Are we doing this?" Theodore said hesitantly. I don't know why such a large dude was afraid of a few zombies. I mean, give him a big ass axe, and he'll cut them clean in one hit.

Glenn and Jim looked at each other and nodded. The women clearly wouldn't participate, as they took a passive stance, not that we would force them to anyway.

"Y'all are crazy, man." Theodore sighed. "Alright, I'm in."

"I'll take the one on the right, the farthest." I pointed at him. We were hiding behind the cars parked on the street. It seems this was a pretty busy neighborhood, with the amount of parked cars and everything. "Wait for me to get into position, I'll give you the signal. I'll jump on mine first. Yours will turn his attention to me. Use that time to your advantage." They nodded.

"Glenn, can you go with him, be his backup just in case?" Jim proposed, to which Glenn nodded without hesitation.

"Alright, let's do this." I took off, going to the other side of the street with Glenn. We slowly crept toward our target, making as little sound as we can. The sound of growls slowly intensified as we approached it, and once we were a few feet away, I turned to the other team, spotting them through behind the cars on their side. I gave them a thumbs up, which they returned, telling me they got the signal. Without wasting time, I jumped to the other side of the car.

The zombie seemed alerted to my presence, but I didn't give it much time. I charged at it quickly, activating my [Empowered Strike] to give it a clean hit on the side of the head. It fell straight to the ground, but I was a careful cookie, I looked at it for a second for any signs of movement, and when it tried getting up, I was ready.

Using [Empowered Strike] again, the tip of my bat met his face, pushing his head against the hard asphalt with a splash of blood tainting my clothes.

I turned to the others, seeing they were both teaming up on the body on the street, hitting it repeatedly on the head. 'Hmph, fucking amateurs…' I giggled in my head. I knew it was due to their wooden bat. Although it dealt a lot of damage, it ended up messing the skill more than anything, making the target of its attack a gory mess. But it's not ideal to deal with the 'Undead'.

Now I had a new problem: three zombies locked in to me, and I couldn't deal with the three at once. The solution? Rush towards the closest, finish it before the others join. And that's exactly what I did.

My computer rebooted, and I lost my progress on the chapter, so I had to rewrite it... but i think I did a better job than the first time so, it's a win!
