THE UGLY SPINSTER AND THE HANDSOME CEO

COMPLETED Luna Yang, a 35-year-old spinster, must deal with people's prejudice against her single status at her age in a society with certain marriage standards. Her life has been further complicated by the fact that all of her sisters have settled. Her neighbors and family members mock her with snide remarks and quips. There is, however, nothing in this world that lasts forever. Joys and sorrows always follow one another into people's lives, much like days and nights. Her destiny changes when she has a elder visitor with proposal of arranged marriage to her grandson. Luna is hesitant to accept the proposal, initially, suspicious of groom's look and personality. Later she agrees to the old lady considering her family. To wonder, the grandson of the old lady turns out to be Danish Li, the stunningly handsome and dashing CEO of a large corporation known for his cold demeanor. Luna felt blessed. Does her destiny gives her what she desires? Will Luna's life transform from that of an ugly spinster to that of Cinderella, or will she fall into the trap? I own the cover. Should She Tell the Truth?

In her walk back to her room, with the photo she wielded in her hand, the thoughts of her father and how he was dead attacked Luna's mind; she had to re-investigate her father's demise even though the picture was not convincing enough to prove that he was murdered.

She entered her room which stared at her with its quietness after her stride from the library; Danish must have left for his work and it was only the solitude being her companion now. At least, her loneliness allowed her to have more spaces to vent all her discomfort to her surroundings and let daydreaming take over her.

Defeated by her mixed feelings, Luna slumped to the couch with the tears pooling beyond her control; but the vomice of a girl followed by the knocks on the door got her up to her feet while her hands were busy brushing her sobs. She would not let anyone notice that she was not in a good mental condition.
