Upon finishing the diary, she, after brushing the tears off her cheeks, inhaled and exhaled in an effort of comforting her heart, summoning the strength to produce a question.
"Did the police officer imprison your father?"
"They did. And because of his fault, he should have spent his whole life in prison."
"What do you mean "should have"?"
"The police found the culprit; the one who has ordered the murder of the Bai family. And that person has to spend the rest of his life in jail. After twenty years of his imprisonment, the police freed my father."
