Chapter 8 : Plagued Thoughts
Eleonore’s POV
“Eleonore!” My head turned at the call of my name. I was stuck on desk duty since the shift had begun some hours prior and was somewhat relieved when I saw Rhett walk through the large doors of the building, thankful to have an excuse to stand up.
What I didn’t expect, however, was the large bouquet of roses he was holding in his hand.
I gave Rhett a questioning look as I stared at the flowers and then up at him, indicating that I was curious about why he was bringing such a large and extravagant gift into the library. Some of the petals had even fallen behind him in a trail at how fast he was walking.
“Hi,” He breathed out as he looked at me and I couldn’t help the smile that stretched over my face at the slightly winded look on his expression. I signed my greeting to him, still somewhat shocked that I was able to communicate with him slightly.
