“But there’s no way to assure that this wouldn’t damage her?” Hayden asked as he looked at Michael, who nodded his head in return.
“That’s correct.”
“Then there’s no f*cking way we’re doing it,” Hayden said. “Goddess, why was that even an option?”
“It was the only one we had managed to come up with,” Ruan said in reply, to which Michael held up his finger and spoke again.
“That… isn’t entirely true,” Michael said, and the rest of the company turned to him.
We had moved the discussion from the library to the office, where we already found the twins sitting and doing some paperwork. We had clued them in on everything besides me being pregnant and were now currently trying to figure out a way to stop the demon.
“There is another way,” Michael said.
“Which is?” Rhett asked.
