The magic circle....?

"I dont feel so good..." Mylo muttered, slowly crawling out of his bed.

all he remembered was him chanting a spell, and then getting carried out by his grandfather, before losing consciousness.

he felt well.. fine now, a headache here and there but he could feel worse.

his grandfather was probably busy right now, so it was a great chance to look at the items he possessed right now from his mother.

first was the magic circle.

a thick layer of dust filled the ancient rune as it seemed to have waited in that vault for quite a while.

"No shi-" Swearing resulted in a beating with a towel, so Mylo restrained his words in case his grandfather came in.

slowly tracing the magic circle with his fingers, he felt the smooth and cold iron that the magic circle was inscribed on.

something felt.. strange when he touched it. almost like it resonated like him.

naturally injecting some of his magic power, the magic circle whirled and whizzed to life in an instant.

pain.

all he could feel was pain.

the constant ringing in his head caused him to snap out and attempt to stop his magic energy.

unfortunately, it seemed that the valve didn't budge, so he focused all of his energy to stop his magical energy.

but to no avail. the artefact was seeping it up like a hungry dragon, and it wanted seconds.

"O' hail the deathly hallows."

screams came from the young boy as the magic circle... stopped.

it stopped absorbing his mana.

"The deathly hallows?" Mylo thought "As in the kid's book?"

looking down at his arm, he found something strange.

it was a symbol, the exact same one as in the book!

"Wha-" Mylo tried to rub it off with his hands, but the inky substance seemed to bind on to his arm and refused to budge even a second.

the ink seeped out when his mana was introduced.

it felt... something was required inside of it.

but that was for another day.

the door suddenly opened

"Are you okay? i heard you screaming."

"Im fine."

Newt gave a sigh "Just be careful, ok?"

"Yes, grandad."

"Hey grandad, did mother ever have a tattoo?"

"Hmm.. i think so? she used to wear long-sleeved t-shirts which covered most of her arms." Newt sighed "This old man's memories are fading, im sorry."

"Its no problem grandad." Mylo gave a smile.

it was a waiting game.

Nagi slipped from under his arm and gave a soft hiss, which almost sounded like it was an "Are you okay g?"

slowly petting nagi on the head, Mylo watched as Newt went out of the room to get him some food.

Nagi's eyes locked onto the magic circle.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Nagi was acting truly weird.

it hissed its teeth, before sinking its own teeth into its own flesh.

blood spurted out of the fresh wound, of which Nagi used her head to slowly drop the blood on the magic circle.

it suddenly reacted the ink binding to the blood, leaving a thick ink trail of blood infused ink, which was a dark crimson red.

the magic circle suddenly became inactive.

"Nagi, what are you doing?"

slowly trembling as he grabbed his wand, Mylo focused all his power on the most basic healing spell, putting all his concentration on this one spell.

"Epikskey!"

the wound instantly healed, before Mylo looked at his arm once more.

he was tired due to the magic power absorbed by the magic circle, not to mention the spell.

he waited for his grandfather to leave him his food, before drifting off to sleep.

-----------------

A woman dripped a drop of blood into the magic circle on her hand, as she muttered

"⎎⎍⌇⟒."

the blood fused to the magic circle before a beast behind her was enveloped in a pure black cacoon.

she looked at head height at the intruder and smiled.

it was his mother.

-------------------

Waking up the next day , Mylo beckoned Nagi out

"Come on."

Nagi slithered out of his nest under his arm and peeked its curious head out.

the magic circle responded to his magic power once more as Mylo grabbed the inconspicuous bottle filled with a red potion.

Walking out of his room in a hurry, he found his grandfather and showed him the potion

"Do you know of this potion?"

"Hmm yes. that a sunskorch potion, made from a mineral deep in Arabian lands," Newt said, "I once consumed one of them in the artic-"

"Thanks, grandad." Mylo ran back into his room, before locking the door.

"What a shame. I was about to tell him the story about how I defeated a Polark in the artic." Newt gave a sigh, before forming a pout and washing the dishes.

Nagi looked at the magic circle once more , as Mylo quickly opened the bottle and looked at Nagi

"Im about to do something crazy, alright?"

Nagi looked sceptical

"It might hurt me or you..."

Nagi looked even more sceptical

"And maybe both of us..."

Nagi hissed.

the magic circle brimmed to life like a battery with a full charge.

pouring the contents of the potion bottle on the magic circle, a hissing sound came from the room as Nagi screamed in pain.

but she wasn't the only one screaming.

the burning sensation on his hand made Mylo want to cry.

shoving his head in the pillows to muffle his cries, the burning sensation tore and ripped his hand apart, and it seemed to be burning nagi as well.

a vortex of magical energy arose from the magic circle on his hand, before the voatile magic potion and the mana mixed around,l leaving a cacophony of flames and fire.

the flamed danced in his room, the magical energy binding it over to Nagi, who had stopped hissing to the flames.

she locked onto the blazing inferno that was approaching her.

and closed her eyes.
