Meeting a Queen and Perks

In a small independent kingdom, north of Kanto stood the palace of the current queen of Rota, Queen Ilene. Currently, she was in a meeting with the current Grandmaster of the AGS (Aegis) a.k.a Aura Guardian Syndicate. Two thousand years ago when Sir Aaron sacrificed himself the current queen, Queen Rin, established AGS as an independent organization funded by the Rota kingdom, in honour of Sir Aaron's sacrifice. Since then, the AGS has helped keep the Pokemon world safe even with its meagre numbers.

Although the queen was only twelve, she had the aura of high nobility mixed in with a motherly mentality that a twelve-year-old girl wouldn't normally have.

"Your majesty, it's a pleasure to see you again. I'm sorry for the loss of the previous queen." said the Fifty-three-year-old Grandmaster solemnly.

"Please rise, Adrien. You know that you don't have to kneel in front of me. I think of you as my grandfather, so please don't be so formal with me." Ilene firmly said to tell the man that she wasn't taking no for an answer.

Seeing Adrien stand reluctantly, Ilene nodded before continuing the meeting. "How is AGS doing this year? Many new recruits this year?" The young queen inquired.

"We are currently stretched thin. With more and more regions entering peace negotiations, we are struggling to recruit and train enough guardians strong enough to help with all the evil in the known world. We managed to recruit only two hundred new trainees, the strongest among them having a count of two hundred and ninety. Most barely have two hundred whilst good, we require stronger aura guardians with all these evil gangs popping out all over the place. We do have a promising new 3rd-class Aura guardian that is quickly rising the ranks. But even with him we just aren't getting many stronger users." Adrien unloaded onto the queen with a sigh. Worry was clearly shown on his face.

"I can understand your worries, Adrian. Is the funding enough for your operations? How is the cooperation with the international police?"

"Funding is a bit tight, but with the cooperation of international police, we can cut back in the information department. They have been providing us with the information we need. So, we should be able to offset the funding for our guardians with their help." Adrian said in response to Ilene's inquires.

"That's good, with the funds from this year's festival we should be good for the next year." Ilene sighed in relief.

Just as they were about to continue, a Pidgeotto came flying into the throne room and landed on Adrian's arm with a note tied around its leg. Removing the note from the Pidgeotto he opened the letter and read the contents of the note. After a few minutes, Adrian started laughing in pure happiness.

Ilene seeing this, curiously asked him. "Adrian, is everything okay?"

"Ilene, I think we just found the answer to our problem." The old man replied.

"What do you mean by that Adrian?" Ilene replied.

"The new 3rd class Guadian Riley has reported that he found a six-year-old with a count of twenty-six thirty," Adrian explained.

Understanding the significance of this child, Ilene stood up before ordering. "Adrian, invite this child and his family to the kingdom. I must meet this extraordinary child."

With a bow, Adrian left to do as his queen had ordered. Once Adrian was gone, she sat back down with a smile. 'This child... only two months into my reign and my life has already become more exciting. I can't wait to see how this world changes in the future.'

One week later.

Queen Ilene was once again sitting in her throne room. She was currently waiting for the arrival of her long-awaited guests. Grandmaster Adrian standing to her right oversaw protecting her with his Lucario and Kommo-O beside him, she couldn't be safer. Adrian had also brought with him all thirty 1st and 2nd class master aura guardians. Along with Ilene's Pokeknights and their partner Pokemon, she had unintentionally gathered quite the force to greet their young family.

When the doors finally opened, Ilene was greeted by five people. The one in front was Riley; he was allowed to escort the group as he was the aura guardian that discovered the hope of AGS. Right behind him, to the shock of everyone in the throne room was the current Sinnoh Champion Cynthia, and her Garchomp.

Once the shock left Ilene, she could see what she assumed was the family of three that she was expecting. The father and mother looked dressed to impress but seemed a little nervous, though confident, which was a nice thing to see from her guests.

But when her eyes fell on the boy holding the hands of both his mum and Cynthia. When she looked at him, she could see the wonder the child had as he looked around at all the different Pokemon standing next to their partners. He looked so excited to be here, which made her happy.

After the group walked to the end of the carpet, they all knelt in front of Ilene, waiting for her to speak.

"Welcome to my kingdom! Thank you for coming all the way here just for my selfishness. I couldn't wait to meet the child that will become my kingdom's hope. I know Riley and I have heard of Cynthia, but might I ask for the names of the family I see before me?" Ilene exclaimed, opening the floor for the family in front of her.

"Your Highness, my name is Roshan Vega. Next to me are my wife Andromeda Vega and our son Helios Vega. On behalf of my family, thank you for inviting us to Rota." Roshan said in response to the queen.

"Please stand we have much to talk about." Ilene asked the group.

Having stood up at Ilene's request, the queen continued. "You guys probably only know a small amount of why I invited your family here?"

"That's correct your majesty. All we know of is that our son has a high aura count." Roshan responded.

"Well, I'm hoping Helios will become a part of AGS. With that, he will get the best training in all things to do with Pokemon. Helios will get trained in hand-to-hand combat and general knowledge of the league and survival skills for when he goes on his own Pokemon journey. He will also have a D-rank league license allowing him to hold twelve Pokemon on him when he starts his league journey. He will also have the full backing of Rota and AGS throughout his journey." Ilene explained to the group.

The group in front of her was shocked by her words. Once the shock of the perks wore off, Andromeda and Cynthia couldn't help but feel ecstatic about what the queen said. Helios suddenly found himself crushed on both sides by the two ladies beside him.

Although Roshan was excited for his son, he was more worried about why they were giving his child such perks.

Before he could say anything, Ilene noticed his concern. "Is everything okay Mr. Vega? You don't seem to thrilled by my offer." Asked the young queen.

"I don't mean to seem unhappy, your majesty. It's just... why are you willing to support my son so much? Why is my son so important to Rota and AGS for you to give him such backing." Roshan cautiously asked.

Adrian and Ilene smiled at Roshan for thinking why they valued his son so highly.

"We... No, I believe that your son will not only reach heights never seen in AGS before but be able to bring change to this world. The league doesn't publicize this, but the fact is that more and more evil teams, smugglers, and gangs have been popping up as of late. With so much evil stretching AGS so thin we haven't got enough people to help solve everything that has been happening." Ilene stated.

Roshan, shocked by this, turned to look at Cynthia. The young father wanted to know if what the queen said was true.

Seeing Roshan looking at her, Cynthia sighed before explaining. "What Queen Ilene said is true. As Sinnoh's Champion, I have been afforded access to info that the public isn't allowed to know. I'm sorry for not letting you know, Roshan... Andy, but not many people truly know how bad it has gotten in the last five years. Dealing with these guys is part of my job as Champion. It's not all fame and fortune. League, Champions, are seen as the last line of defence against this scum, it becomes my job to deal with them when no one else can."

Concern appeared on Roshan and Andromeda's faces, never realizing the danger being Champion came with. But they believed in their adopted family member.

And Andromeda then remembered an issue that her family was currently having. The issue is they were moving to Kalos once she gave birth to her twins. The reason why was that a professor in Kalos has offered them the chance to help research Eeveelutions and Shiny Pokemon with her if they would help fund his research. Obviously, they said yes but now they needed to find a place to live before she got too heavily pregnant.

Noticing the issue Andromeda, spoke. "Your majesty, we are moving to Kalos within the next three months. I'm worried we will be too far away for Rota."

"Oh, really? What's causing this change in your life?" Ilene curiously asked.

"Professor Forsythia has offered us to help with her Eeveelution and Shiny Pokemon research if we helped fund her. We just need to find a place to live so we can move." Roshan explained.

Hearing this, Ilene turned to Adrian for guidance on what he thought she should do. Seeing the queen look at him, Adrian took a step forward to whisper in her ear. Hearing his suggestion, her face lit up before turning back to her guests.

"Grandmaster Adrian has just given me a most splendid idea. The Rota Kingdom will build you a residence in Vaniville Town. This way, we can make it to your specifications. This will allow us to make a teleportation room so Helios can train here during the week and be with you on the weekends." Ilene excitedly explains.

Once again, the family was shocked to hear of Queen Ilene's generosity. The two parents were starting to think this was all a dream.

"Why Vaniville Town?" Cynthia asked the queen.

The queen giggled lightly before replying. "Grandmaster Adrian's daughter and granddaughter live there. This gives him a reason to visit more. Not that he would admit to it."

Adrian looked at Ilene like she just betrayed him, he didn't think she would sell him out like that for her own amusement. He felt so embarrassed by her words that he attempted to change the subject.

"Mister and Misses Vega there is one last thing before we conclude today's meeting," Adrian stated.

Getting an idea of what Adrian was implying, Riley finally spoke up. "Grandmaster... are you finally going to do that?" The aura guardian asked.

"Riley, you better tell me what going on or I'll have to cave your head in. I don't want Helios to see that side of me... don't force me to show him." Cynthia coldly spoke out of nowhere.

This was the Cynthia that Riley was most familiar with. A Cynthia that would kill on her missions without a hint of remorse whilst saying "How dare they dirty the world Helios lived in." The week that he spent with the Vega family made him forget how scary Cynthia was.

Seeing Riley freeze up, Adrian decided to save the scared boy. "Cynthia, I want to take Helios as my first apprentice."
