Hidden Dangers
After coming too close to death by their hands, of course, they were afraid, even if the Black steel knights were there they could be abandoned, in other for them to keep their own lives.
No matter what, as long as the black steel knights kept the best of the children, then their odds of survival would increase. Even if a majority were lost, either way, it wouldn't be too much of a loss.
With regards to the hidden dangers in the desert, since none of the children were knowledgeable about it, except the siblings which no one was aware of except Tobi. So everyone stayed stiff and silently observed.
The cold wind within the desert swept its golden sand upon the group of horse carriages, sweeping away every trail they left behind them. With each step the horses took, a little cloud of golden dust would form in the air.
