Chapter 32 : Freeeze! Ice Dragon! Uhh?

'HOLY SHIT!! Freeze element is so broken!' Lo exclaimed inwardly as he saw the destructive power it possessed, Ice began to freeze the metalized floor, cold wind gushed over the whole facility, and a pair of two crystalized ice eastern dragons floated behind him.

Professor Maria : (╯•ᗣ•╰)

Professor Maria screams as she prepares an [ Sealing Vine ] spell, "LO! STOP!! THE FACILITY CAN'T TA..."

20 minutes earlier..

"Mmmfffm" Lo muttered, but the sealing vines had bound his mouth so tightly that he could only produce muffled sounds.

"Pffft.."

Professor Maria clapped her hands and voiced out, "Let's settle down class" as she said so, she snapped her fingers, releasing the vines that had sealed Lo's mouth shut.

Despite his burning desire to curse out System and Lector, Lo knew that he shouldn't do so in front of the entire class. The incident with the vines had been the last straw.

Yet, he swore to himself that someday he would have his revenge against the System and Lector.

"Let's begin by learning the spells from the Black Iron class." Professor Maria announced as she turned toward a nearby cabinet. With a practiced hand, she unlocked the cabinet and pulled open its creaky doors. Inside, a plethora of books greeted their eyes.

Though the times appeared old, they were carefully separated from each other and arranged neatly on the shelves.

Lo gazed at the multitude of books in front of him, while he thought inwardly 'Great another new system.. JUST HOW MANY POWER SYSTEM ARE THERE!'

He grumbled to himself, already anticipating the inevitable question from a certain student about the Black Iron class spells. The constant introduction of new systems was getting tiresome, and Lo couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of them.

'Ranks, titles, classes, martial techniques, blessings, bloodlines, talents, traits, energy, skills, attributes, elemental energy, and now spells,' he muttered, his head beginning to ache just thinking about it.

"Who thought it was a good idea to add so many systems into a story?" Lo shook his head, as frustration started to build within him.

"Professor, What are Black Iron Spells?"

'Here comes the long introduction of another new bullshit system again,' Lo sighed inwardly at the new power systems and knowledge he learned through class.

Professor Maria began explaining, "So the reason why... "

Professor Maria concluded her explanation and asked the class. "Does anyone have any questions?"

"None!"

"Nope, I'm all good!"

"My head hurts but I get the gist of it."

"Finally! No more Big-brain explanation.!"

"I felt as though I had just witnessed the destruction and rebirth of the universe itself."

The crowd of students replied to the professor, with some looking confused while others seemed to be zoning out or inting on the class. Lo was among the latter. Just an hour ago, he had felt like his brain had fried, and now his mental burnout was starting to take a toll on his body.

"If you students don't have any more questions, start familiarizing yourselves with the inscriptions inside these black iron grimoires so that I can see you guys in action!" Professor Maria's voice brimmed with excitement and anticipation.

5 minutes later..

Lo read the inscriptions with quick precision and with the help of [ Prince of Nature ], he could comprehend most of the inscriptions and chants in the book, including those related to his combined element of freeze.

As he continued to skim through the book, his mastery over ice and water grew to an exceptional level. He began by visualizing a water arrow, then deftly moved his fingers, leaving behind thin lines of mana that formed intricate patterns. With swift and precise movements, his fingers glowed with a light blue aura as he continued to draw, slowly materializing a water arrow in front of him and freezing it with ice.

Lo manipulated the reinforced frozen arrow with great precision, imbuing it with a dense, icy aura. With a flick of his wrist, he sent the arrow hurtling towards a dummy target with incredible speed and accuracy.

Xiu!

Bang!

The arrow struck upon the upper chest of the metallic dummy, its icy tip pierce the metal surface. As the arrow lodged itself in the dummy, a layer of frost began to spread from the point of impact, gradually encasing the metallic form in a sheen of ice.

The ice crept down the dummy's body, freezing its joints and limbs until it came to a stop at the dummy's knees and elbows.

"Tssss.."

"The fuck??"

"What a dangerous element, if I ever got hit by that arrow what would have happened to my body.. Tsss..."

The group of students near Lo hissed in fear as they took a step back from him, his demonstration of elements brought the whole class in stunning silence.

Professor Maria and Aya's eyes widened in shock. They knew just how powerful that reinforced frozen arrow was; the only reason it could freeze the metallic dummy's body was because it was formed with one of the most dangerous forms of ice in the world: Absolute Zero.

The other students stared at Lo as if he were some sort of creature that doesn't belong from the human domain.. the stunning silence was broken by Professor Maria.

"How?? Are you able to comprehend freezing so fast?!" Professor Maria gasped, her eyes widened in shock, Her expression shifted from shock to seriousness as she stared at Lo intently, "Student Lo, are you even human?"

Lo : "?"

Students : "!!!"

Lo cried inwardly as to why he was questioned by one of the scariest professors within the academy, "I am human, we can do a blood test if you don't believe me."

Professor Maria continued to glare at Lo intently, seemingly trying to discern if he was lying or not. "I'll believe you," she said, "however, we still need to do a blood test to check why you're able to comprehend the laws of ice and water so quickly."

'You don't need to, it's one of my traits.' That's what I want to say, but he can't just reply to Professor Maria. If he did so, he might be subjected to experiments that would involve having his limbs cut off just to examine his body.

The thought of having his whole body cut off limb by limb sent a cold chill running down his spine, Lo knew that this would happen if he showed more than just Absolute Zero. But what's the fun in not trying?

"Students, continue to practice your spells," Professor Maria gesture as she checked on the other students. She made a mental note to monitor Lo's every movement closely.

Lo cursed the system inwardly for not giving him much more detailed information about [ Prince of Nature ] and his elemental prowess.

System : [ ??? ]

'System, Now that I thought about it, how did I obtain such broken trait, I won't complain though, after all it's an EX rank trait but FUCK.. I nearly got subjected to experiments..'

'....' Lo thought to himself deeply, 'en. It's been a while since I've used the skill.'

Lo raised an eyebrow before shaking his head. He often wondered why others were unable to truly comprehend his true rank, as most of his classmates thought of him as an 0th intermediate ranker.

As he was about to ask about this weird phenomenon, the system interrupted him.

'Eyes? What's so special about my eyes except for the fact that I know their name?' Lo wondered to himself. He never knew who his parents were, not even on Earth or Acendia, so he was unaware of his bloodline in his whole entire life as Wu Jinyang and now Lo as well.

"Lets stop thinking about depressing stuff and try something new, It's been a while since I've used [ State of Calming Sea ], I want to try it with [ Photographic Memory ] and [ Prince of Nature ] all together," He closed his eyes and steadied his breath, the thought of using [ State of Calming Sea ] once again made him filled with... excitement?

Lo's once bright, red eyes filled with life slowly became lifeless. He cast away his useless thoughts and focused solely on maximizing the potential of [ Absolute Zero ], [ Photographic Memory ], [ Prince of Nature ], and [ State of Calming Sea ].

Using two traits, a skill, and a spell all at once nearly drained his whole mana reserve, causing his face to pale.

"Should be enough to have some fun," he said with a vile smile.

He closed off [ Photographic Memory ] and [ State of Calming Sea ], he remembered how [ Absolute Zero ] works properly now, with the help of [ State of Calming Sea ] and [ Photographic Memory ], Lo was able to comprehend deeper mastery over the law of frozen ice.

Additionally, it possesses hyperthermia, which causes any being without resistance to ice elements to freeze upon contact or impact.. ]

Lo curiously checked these spells before he saw an Forbidden Technique related to [ Absolute Zero ], he however was shocked not just because of the Forbidden Technique but the rank Absolute Zero had.

"Now I know why, Professor looked at me like an white rat now." Lo never knew that Absolute Zero is a very high ranking spell, in fact he felt like he is a walking grimoire right now.

With his EX trait ability [ Prince of Nature ] allowed him to comprehend the laws of the fundamental elements, which was already a formidable ability on its own. However, his skills in [ State of Calming Sea ] and [ Photographic Memory ] made this trait even more fearsome.

'Fuck.. is this how it feels like when you try to hack your way to the game? I felt like I could literally win against anyone, well except for Leo and the others, of course!'

"Let's try out my new spell," Lo muttered to himself as he rubbed his hands together with a wicked smirk, seemingly eager to cause trouble for the whole class.

"[ Forbidden Technique - Twin Ice Crystalize Dragon ]"

The entire facility shook as two pillars of reinforced ice started to form, emanating a frigid aura that filled the room. As the pillars took shape, Lo could see a dragon's body slowly emerging from the ice. The creature's scales were slick and light blue, shimmering in the light. Its body was long and serpentine, resembling that of an eastern dragon, with sharp claws and a pair of fierce, red eyes that glowed in the icy blue light of its frozen face.

Lo before the dragons ran out of control : (๑✪ᆺ✪๑) !!

The entire crowd of students stared at the twin dragon with fear, their gazes then shifting to Lo. As their fear turned to frustration, the students cursed him inwardly, their anger and resentment palpable. Lo could feel their wrath as they cursed him at least a thousand times over.

Lo after the dragons ran out of control : ( ㅇㅅㅇ) ??

And what happened in the end.. Lo froze the Entire Facility.
